Brividi has truly gone viral in the not even two weeks since its release: - it broke the record for the highest number of streams in one day post-release in italy (3.4 million) - the mv currently has 25 million views (the live performance, which is now deleted, had another 12 million) + 33 million streams on spotify - they were 5th in the global chart on spotify, and are now in the top 10 in the global 200 (ex US) singles chart - it earned a platinum disc in italy just today - it’s no. 1 in virtually all charts in italy, switzerland and lithuania I don’t think any eurovision song has had this much success in 12 days post-release, or even in general to be honest.

in case you did not know as I don’t see it being mentioned, Mahmood took 2nd place in the Eurovision in 2019. Both of them are very popular in Italy and in Europe in general, so it’s safe to say they will be among top 5 in the finals this year.

Then he apologizes on national television for something so small and you remember 😂

I obviously can't compare "Brividi" with "Zitti e buoni" (Måneskin's winning song), totally different songs, style and genre but as a Rock lover It's easy for me to chose my favourite. With that being said I think this song works. Their harmonies are almost perfect, the back and forth of the storytelling between the two gentlemen keeps the interest high, at least for me. We (Italy) are an automatic qualifier (crazy rule but still...) and I think this song can do quite good in the Final. Also, having a huge portion of the audience in the arena understanding the lyrics and eventually singing along can be a great plus. Good luck to them. Mahmood is way more experienced, he's 29, has won sanremo in 2019 and came in 2nd in Eurovision with "Soldi", while Blanco was only 18 during this performance (he turned 19 a few days ago), he's definitely popular in Italy but his career took off during the pandemic so he didnt really have a chance to sing live much. This was also his first performance in Sanremo, which always causes a lot of anxiety even in singers with decades long careers so it's safe to say he did really well

Think what you hear from Blanco is the accent. It's very difficult to mess the diction in Italian as you have to pronounce each and every word... If you get the diction wrong, it's mainly because you actually forget the words and/or stutter

Hi @Georgina...number one this is Sanremo which is a very old and important music festival/competition/event in italy...it juts happens that they decide to send the winners or the youngest 2nd places to the Eurovision...anyway...this was the 1st evening and i must say...these 2 were kinda nervous...and sucked a little bit...the 2nd evening went way better...and 3rd as well and they won...you should listen to those ones... Oh and you should ABSOLUTELY listen to Emma Marrone with Francesca Michielin singing BABY ONE MORE TIME...it was AMAZING... I should also say...that their diction is actually perfect...i dont know how foreigners perceive how italian is supposed to sound...but it doesnt sound like Pizza and Mandolino with sicilian accent...that's a stereotype...

I have to be honest, I don't think Mahmood will win this year. Great performance, great song, but it's not enough to win. And after all, after the great success that had Maneskin last year, now it's time to leave the pod for someone else.
