Asking a Moomoo for just one song is almost impossible. Most would suggest Mamamoo Immortal Songs Madley for a live performance.( with audience) it is them showing their powerful voices and stage presence while singing covers of classic Korean songs.

Yes, Mamamoo is the Vocal Queens of kpop. And yes, each member is also a fabulous soloist with albums to their own names. Mamamoo had vast discography with wide range of genres. The belter is Solar the leader. The rapper is Moonbyul. The breathy honey voice is Wheein. And the sultry voice in white crop-top is Hwasa which was not really healthy when doing this video (her voice cracked a bit). Thanks for reacting to Mamamoo video, they deserved to be recognize more.

From left to right Moonbyul (also called Moonstar), Solar (leader my bias), Wheein, and Hwasa. Solar has mentioned Amy Winehouse as an influence. For her audition with the company she did Whitney Houston's I Will Always Love You. Hwasa cites Rhianna as an influence. They debuted in 2014. They are a collection of vocal superstars and they are unmatched as a team. In addition to the group songs every one of them has a successful solo career.

Hwasa is the one you are praising on the end. She is a lot of people's favorite for a lot of reasons. Not the least of which are killer good looks. She was actually told during auditions they went on to get up and leave, that she wasn't attractive enough to be on stage more than once. She has to be one of the most attractive women walking the earth. But she didn't fit Korean standards. She has had plenty to say about that over the years. She has stated publically "if I don't fit your standards, you need to change your standards." She is a hero to every person who isn't slim and dainty looking. She is an amazing performer.

One of the most amazing groups in music history. They refused to not be heard. They would perform outside of theaters in the open streets. It was baller stuff they used to do. You could not ignore their presence. They have completely taken over music shows. THEY ARE FANTASTIC!!!

Mamamoo really is one of the best group of vocalists singing today. Their history when they started was small company with no money, they were also told they are not beautiful to korean standards(I know insane) and to make it they have to become the best of the best vocalists and performers. They can sing that well live and for entire 3 and 4 hour concerts. You noted Hwasa as carrying a lot of vocal flexing which is true for the group she does that, Wheein does that soft honey vocals, Moonbyul does rap mainly and you noted Solar's power vocals, she mainly carrys the belting load and is also the oldest and leader, despite looking younger. They also started a little older than your typical Kpop Idols especially Solar. The songs you heard were all redone in 2021 versions, they are now 28 to 32 years old, still look like that and sing better. They are definitely a group to watch live performances of, they do insanely good performances not just singing and choreography but comedy skits, adlibs and more. In fact one of the best examples of their vocal talent as a group is a song about Pikachu with them dressed as pokemon. It is ok to love all 4 of them and choose a bias mine is Solar(power belter with long hair). However, they all can do it all. If you want to see Solar doing pretty much everything including rap and Jazz(she writes and composes) then check out her solo album Face specifically the live performance video of all 5 songs. All 4 have solo albums. where you can see the rapper Moonbyul singing, Wheein and Hwasa(the one you liked the most have Solo albums as well. In these solo albums they do step out of their mamamoo role and more into themselves but really it doesnt matter if solos or in pairs or a group it is all mamamoo. They do covers also, Solar has her KZfaq channel solarsido. You can see her do acapellas of a lady gaga song in english, while practicing since she is reading the lyrics, acapellas of the last song on this Dingo set Aya. She has some other covers including Michael Jackson man in the mirror. even a switch up where Moonbyul sings Solar's parts and Solar raps and sings moonbyul's parts including their newest solos. Their early albums have slight more Jazz and retro. They also have good MVs, usually telling a story not just singing and choreo. If you watch the MV dor Mr Ambiguous, the crying is real, they were pranked during the video.

For your one song request I'd go with I Miss You on the Queendom tv show in 2019. Fortunately that network doesn't block reactions to Queendom. You heard part of I Miss You during this medley. I see several moomoos have recommended the Immortal Songs Medley but it's from a 2017 concert and they've only gotten better since then. Mamamoo's 14 appearances on the Immortal Songs 2 singing competition tv show between 2015-19 are all spectacular vocal showcases but reactions get blocked. Their 2021 ballad Where Are We Now on It's Live is another good choice. Singers they've mentioned as influences and some female singers they've covered as soloists, from left to right: Moonbyul - has never mentioned influences that I know of. Only seems to cover Korean male artists. Solar - Amy Winehouse, Nancy Wilson. Covers - Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Peggy Lee, Eartha Kitt, Ariana Grande. Wheein - Kehlani, Ariana Grande. The live band version of Where Are We Now

“Paint Me” is my favorite song of theirs and the live versions are both incredible. I definitely recommend you check that out because the vocals are just stellar. Even if you don’t want to react to both (or either) I suggest watching both because they made some really interesting changes to go along with the live instruments at their 4 Seasons concert (which was like 4 hours long) and they’re both very good.

Love your reaction! It's absolutely okay to pick a favorite haha, it's called a bias. Mine is Wheein! This group is my absolute favorite kpop group, their authenticity can really be felt in their performances. I'd recommend watching some more live performances they're queens live! Check out the Queendom performances, it's what got me into them in the first place.

Left to right Moonbyul, Solar, Wheein, Hwasa. One song that I would recommend is the Queendom performance of I Miss You. Queendom was a show in 2019 where they brought together several K-Pop women performers to compete against each other. There are a lot of great performances there by everyone. But, like someone said below, it's hard to recommend just one Mamamoo song to view. :) Piano Man is one of my personal favorites. And their performance of it from the WAW concert is fantastic. Most of the songs on their channel have English sub-titles in the CC settings.

Mamamoo is a Kpop female group unlike the others. Compared to other girl groups *they work on their own songs and albums* (something not common in that industry). They are considered the vocal queens of Kpop, each of the members are songwriters, composers and producers.

A lot of Mamamoo recommendations, so I’m gonna go in a different direction and recommend Big Mama’s (group name) Killing Voice Medley as well. If you love to see slightly older women (late 30s-40s) totally killing it (pun unintended) and blends that will melt your ears, definitely check them out. They were extremely popular in South Korea in the 2000s, and if I recall correctly, all of them have (had) positions as vocal/musical professors in university! They recently reunited after a decade since disbandment to release some new music. :)

I like it, the way you react to this video. You explain it perfectly and clear, really great vocal reaction video, unlike any other that I watched before. You got my subs. Fyi, Hwasa, the singer that you said might be your favorite, she was not in a good condition that day when they perform live in that video. And, if you really want to hear a perfect full performance for 1 song of Mamamoo, I would reccomend Mamamoo on Its Live Video Performance. They perform live clip on Its Live's Studio of total 2 song (separated to 2 video), "Where are we now" and "Mr. Ambigious" and in that performance your can hear them clearly without any effect, etc, and they sing perfectly there (in my opinion). Love seeing more and more people discover the heavenly vocal perfection of Mamamoo. My favorite part of this performance is that Hwasa (the one all the way to the right) did it while sick with a cold which probably figures into your comments why she sounds like she's doing the most work here. Performer basically means she’s a member more specialized in dance Second girl: Solar(her real name is Yungsun, and she got her stage name from the solfège(do re mi ta *so la*) because she can hit high notes, which is just iconic) She’s the leader and a vocalist Third girl: Wheein(real name is also just Wheein) She’s a vocalist and performer, known for her R&B style vocals. Fourth girl: Hwasa( Hwasa translates to shining bright in English, but her real name is Hyejin. And her baptismal name is Maria, which is why she has a song called Maria) She’s a vocalist and also has the role of rapper, but she doesn’t really rap anymore because she’s way more comfortable with her vocal ability. They’re all Korean The youngest member is Hwasa(I know, shocking) The oldest member is Solar They debuted with Mr. Ambigous(the first song they sang in killing voice) They don’t have official positions, no main or lead or sub.

Like a team of super hero. Yes indeed. They are vocal queens for sure. If you are interest about the different between their vocal in their MV and their vocal in live singing. Suggest you check out this song “Where are we now” MV version vs their band live version. You would be amazed.

Ha! They don't have their own movie, but they have had a documentary made about them, an astonishing honor after only eight years in the biz. My favorite song of theirs is Decalcomanie, but for a live song, I would pick either Destiny, from Queendom, or Gloomy Coincidence, from Sugar Man. As others have noted, Immortal Songs reviews are occasionally blocked.

As for my recommendation, I'm gonna be different (and maybe a bit controversial because my recommendation would be for another group) - I recommend you watch the Killing Voice episode of Big Mama, a separate group altogether. Big Mama is also a vocal group, but of older ladies, and their music is more 90/00s RnB. cmiiw, but I think Mamamoo in their rookie days was sometimes described as the younger/smaller Big Mama actually. I think you would enjoy their Killing Voice episode.

They all have their own uniqueness it all depends on what attracts you more to choose bias cuz is very difficult 😂. I went with Solar as my bias cuz i prefer the power vocals over deep, honey and jazzy/breathy vocals. It was one of the most difficult decisions cuz they are all great, dont ask who is after cuz idk 😂.
