Dolly is truly an icon. 76 and she can still perform like this? We are truly blessed to be living in the same time as her. And Miley will be just as iconic as Dolly one day. She is so phenomenal as well.

Dolly is in sky high heels. I used to work security at music events, and one of the people I met while working was Dolly. I’m still impressed by her light jog in those heels when she went to do her soundcheck.

Heard - via someone who works on a TV interview show (UK)- that Dolly Parton was, unlike many 'lovely in front of the camera but snotty' was unbelievably lovely and kind to everyone at the show. Apparently Dolly gave 100% attention/presence to everyone who worked backstage from the lowliest up to the most influential.

Only parts of the show was pre-recorded, its clearly hearable on fan records. Song like "Walkin After Midnight" was fully without pre-recorded parts.

Dolly swept me off my feet and Miley pulled her weight through this. Personally, I wouldn't mind if their voices were dubbed in this particular rendition...... NBC has a free streaming service called “Peacock”. So, you should be able to watch it from anywhere. Are you aware that Dolly Parton is going to release a Rock album? She will be singing “Stairway to Heaven” from Lenard Skinner. Steven Perry the vocalist from Journey will be joining her, and the word is Steven Tyler from Aerosmith is another vocalist she wants to join in on the fun. During the rehearsal it was live because Miley cried and her voice sounded like crying. I think they did post production or decided to lipsync to it after the rehearsal.

I think it should be told when a performance is pre-recorded and when it's actually live not to trick the viewers. I also noticed it was lip-synching - Miley gave it away, but many fans keep saying it was totally live. there's nothing wrong to lip-synch at your own special, but there's something wrong at trying to tell you sing live when you actually don't

I think it was lip synced because of dolly. All the songs but the ones dolly were involved in seemed live to me. Would have been totally embarassing for the legend to note it was only her songs that were dubbed. I say give the almost 80 year old woman a break if she cant sing multiple extremely hard songs in one night anymore. Im actually astounded she can still sound like that taped frankly.

Never mind Dolly and Miley being on form. Georgina, I heard so much more of a connection with the performance here, this is more like it. Same goes for the Sugababe reaction video. Maybe reacting to fresh material is the way to go for you now. It's definitely working so far.
