ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?

@@FadriqueFM Duat makes reference to various Egyptian mythology aspects. For example, Duat is the equivalent of the underworld. Ma'at's, is a reference to truth, justice, and balance. Whereas Isis a Godness in Egyptian mythology. So, the lyrics of Duat make reference to Egyptian mythology in whole.

Really enjoyed this! I loved the "historical" combined with mythical content. It's like Mad Max goes to Tunisia to rescue his cousin with a heavy metal tune a fist bump and hug only to lose him. To be continued... always a killer way to end a story. Great video as always. sol xx

Oh yeah ! Glad you're checking these guys, they deserve more recognition, and Zaher (the vocalist) is reeeeeeeally good ! Sadly, my fav song of them, Beyond the Stars is not their most famous one, so few chances you check it for a video but well... maybe if you can on your spare time, give it a try, I really love that song !

Stumbled across this while recommending Myrath to my brother, and had to subscribe. Fantastic band, and though I’m not a vocalist myself, I love your in depth analysis. I think you’d like the song ‘Believer’ too. I’d be interested to see a reaction to the band ‘Seventh Wonder’ too. Their vocalist Tommy Karevik is one of my current favourites. Hard to know where to begin really, as there are so many tracks that showcase his various strengths. However, the video for Tiara’s Song would be a good entry point. Inner Enemy is another good one that they made a video for. The videos themselves aren’t on the level of this one, but the music this band produces is otherworldly. Well, it is to me anyway. Glad you enjoyed this. Love to see this band getting the attention they deserve. I’ll be sure to check out more of your videos too.

Myrath? what a blast from the past! So weird to remember old chats with Anis, they were preparing for maybe 2nd album? posting on Myspace & doing studio stuff, so he was angry for not knowing to write in english and interact with fans, so he was chatting in frenchlish and it was sincerely hilarious xD very cool guy & great band, I told him you'll be well known in the scene, just never give up.

Thank you for reacting to Myrath! I recommended them to you when I saw your Devin Townsend video because I thought you’d stylistically enjoy them. I think you’d also really like Symphony X or Sabaton for something interesting, yet powerful. I love your video commentary and hope to hear your music one day 🤘🏻

Among these two, definitely Symphony X. Sabaton are fun to listen to, but I think Symphony X are by far the better and more innovative musicians. Now the style of Symphony X has changed quite a bit over the years, so we could dispute which era is best. I subscribed to you after watching your reaction to Brendon Urie. And I am SO SO happy you've reacted to Myrath. One of my all time favorite bands ever! Their mix of metal and oriental/African music blends perfectly. All the guys are also very sweet and funny. I really hope to see you react to more of them. Especially "Born To Survive" (Live from Carthage), and "Get your freedom back".

You need to watch believer first to get the back story. I have a special place in my heart for Myrath. In 2007 while cruising you tube looking for new music i happened upon a vide by a Tunisian band called Myrath and they blew my mind. They were not really know out of their home country and southern France. So i got in touch with their manager and requested a copy of their CD. When i got them i forwarded one to the President of NIGHTMARE records, within a week they had been signed to a 5 album deal, and the rest is history. The are now one of the most sought after bands for festivals world wide, their new album SHEHILI sould out preorders in Japan, their live shows are unbelievable.

You'd totally love the song "Nobody's Lives" by them. There's a section called "mawwal" in which the vocals turns emotional, like laments, with prolongued vowell syllables, etc. Superb.

Saw them a few years ago on a prog power concert at baarlo int he netherlands. Heard many prog bands before, but never with arabic influences , so i was quite impressed. The beautifull bellydancer witch they had on the stage was the icing on the cake😉. Yes i am a fan.💪.

Great video and publicity for an underrated band. Now you're reacting to more heavy metal, can I suggest reacting to 'Highlander- The One' by Lost Horizon? It's gained cult status as a legendary performance from the singer, Daniel Heiman.

actually in that "vocal improv" he is saying actual words, he is saying aman aman which in tunisian means please please and its use is quite common in tunisian traditional music and please check more of their music especially the new album
