KZ developed polyps in her throat, which altered her voice and dampened her desire to pursue a singing career. It was then she realized she couldn’t always be a belter. Her now-limited vocal range forced her to develop a unique mode of singing by exploring different music genres and playing up a song’s key and arrangements. She developed a tone and style that lends itself well to jazz, reggae and soul-flavored tunes.

I heard KZ in an interview, if my memory is right, she arranged the song herself.

KZ won X-Factor Philippines and her mentor was Charice Pempengco

Kz use the auto tune in the intro for a purpose 'cause she was a challenger on this episode kz said she have to caught the attention of live studio audience knowing the fact that they have the power to vote and she's not even went through to surgery she went through on biopsy instead 'cause she was afraid that she might not able to sing again that's why she started to rearrange the song and everthing of her style of music ' cause she's no longer power belter like before she used to......but still she can belt the high notes. Kz is the league of her own so versatile,creative and unique. She can play a multiple types of music instruments like drums,piano,ukulele and guitar of course her hidden talent of human saxophone produce by her own mouth and she can do a beatbox also and a legit dancer.

The first time I heard her rendition of this song I was floored. You don't find this kind of creativity very often. Every time I play this song I get goosebumps and I can feel the energy of the audience's reactions. If this performance doesn't move you, then you have no emotions. Amazing stage presence that captures your adrenaline, heartbeat, soul and emotions. This kind of genuine talent doesn't come around that often, especially with the marketing and promotion hype that only focuses on sales and profit. She's a humble and very respectful individual and those inner qualities alone makes her a genuine musical gift to those who love the unexploited creativity and talent that is one hundred percent hers. She is a musical gem and a very sweet humble person too. That is a very rare combination to find nowadays.
