You think that’s a long song? Coke Studio has had 6-7 minute long songs in previous seasons. By the standards of most CS listeners, 4 minutes is a short song. These are higher standard productions with complete song narratives, complex arrangements and meaningful lyrics, more than most commercial American music listeners are used to or can comprehend. Most people reacting don’t even comment on the instruments, the visual themes etc. I think most Pakistanis and people from the subcontinent will agree that we’re blessed to come from a heritage with such meaningful art forms.
