Born in Canada to Filipino parents, went to the Philippines at 13 to do the Voice Kids (came 2nd) and stayed there on a scholarship to hone his talent. He and Morissette are good friends and have done duets. He also recently did a duet with Calum Scott. His Christmas song, Believe in Christmas, is a couple years old now, but shows his range now and how he sings as an adult.

Darren was once a household name when he was 12 when he first joined the Voice Kid Philippines. He was the youngest singer that had a concert at Mall of Asia Arena when he was 14 and it was jampacked. Darren was also a finalist at show in Canada called The Next Star when was just 10 or 11 y.o. And now Darren is one of the finest singers in the Philippines and can even write his songs. A very humble and talented young man. With my age I was and is still a fan of Darren since day 1 he appeared on Philippine TV. He has also a cover of Chandelier on Wish Bus. Darren was actually one of the first major artists that blew up on Wish Bus. He has a performance of his composition on wish I think last year and he is just so good. This performance was noticed by Fantasia herself when she tweeted this.He was 14 here in this performance.
