This was a last minute decision. I planned on singing and playing guitar for the whole album, but I went and broke my ‘Drop B’ guitar a few weeks prior to this, and still needed more time to practice! I hope you enjoy it! (The instrumental I had was in a different track listing order and threw everything off, but in a way I’m glad, because it gave me a chance to perform ‘Me Inside’ strong, which is one of my favs!)
Thank you to all of the maggots and Slipknot fans who have supported me for all of these years, and thank you to Corey Taylor for the huge and very obvious inspiration to my own vocal adventure!

excellent vocals, real marathon too. Slight imperfection in the Wait and Bleed intro, which you went right into after Eyeless was over, you just let the album play and kept singing, good job. Very nice video concept, kinda feels like a live performance

Impressive, are you doing a fry scream or do you think corey just lets more air through and also puts more of his voice into the rasp where as yours has more compression and less air so it sounds smoother like a randy blythe scream? (Both equally sick btw you should own and stick with your own sound)

@@SavvasVideos-bj5uf From what I’ve studied of Corey’s voice and from my perspective, he actually yells more. Which would explain why he was taking medication during the S/T touring days, because he wasn’t entirely sure how to control that immense power he has. Also all that drinking and smoking he was doing definitely gave his voice an even rawer edge that I think can only be revealed with such habits (and there’s no judgement from me on that either!) I can do the same and it’s usually what I do when I record, because that’s how I tapped into his style originally. But when I stream or perform, I lean more into the Randy style, just to give my voice a break. I like to think my style is a huge blend of the two these days! Thank you for the compliment🤘🏽

You need basic vocal training before starting to scream. Its a hard technique that will damage your vocal cords if your voice is not at least a bit trained.

You scream until it sounds right, and if it doesn't hurt very much when you do it, then you're doing it right. It really helps if you already have an ear for music, also it helps if you smoke cigarettes and drink whiskey, seriously. Good luck.
