Patricia Walker my friends ate read rice at my sisters birthday party and they said " why is it called red rice when it's orange? I don't want to eat this" and I was like "it's from the powder that you put in the rice to make it. The powder is red" and they said they still didn't want to eat it. I think red rice beats regular white rice

The only thing familiar is the names of the food. This is a hella bad representation of Guam food. The best thing here is the fiesta plate. The chicken keleguen looked weird. “Finally something good” coming from a white dude who uses 1 pinch of salt for a full pot of fried rice.

Guam cuisine is a blend between Spanish, Asian (Filipino/Japanese), Pacific Island and of course the USA. My personal preference is Kadu Pika and Estifau (excuse my spelling). Those are my easy to make comfort foods.

If you live on Guam or you’re from Guam you know what all this is, we eat it almost everyday. We just have some friends and family, have a table with com ribs, chicken, chicken kelaguan, red rice, pancit, etc... and we just chow

This is cool man lol. I did Chamorro BBQ for some friends here in the states... now I am forced to BBQ whenever we do gatherings lol. Love seeing the reaction of people to my cultural food. The part that's missing though, it's the atmosphere of the gathering and all the other foods that accompany the food you showed.

I get so nervous seeing videos like this because YOU NEED LOCAL DNA TO COOK IT THE WAY ITS SUPPOSE TO BE COOKED. I see some videos of people trying to make local dishes then serving it out as Chamorro dishes when they followed the hotel recipe not the Fiesta recipe. Yes there's a huge difference.

Ok…1 - Yes, we have red rice musubi but it’s NOT Chamorro food. It was adopted from Hawaii. 2 - That kelaguen needs to be served with corn or flour titiyas for optimal indulgence. 3 - That bbq plate is pretty much what we’d serve at a fiesta but you’re missing potato salad and some lumpia and/or shrimp patties lol. 4 - What the hell kind of donut is that? Literally NEVER seen that in my life. Give these people some buñelos aga!

Honestly this was super sad... Sushi is from Japan.. We Chamorros eat it with spam but its not "chamorro food".. The keleguen looked weird.. And the glaze?? Since when?? No fish..?? Coconut anything..?? Tinalat kutni?? Nothing...??? Smh.. Haha Dalai give these people some REAL CHAMORRO FOOD.. Not this junk.. Give a taste of the ranch put'fabot! Beignet is not a chamorro dessert! I am more than sure the food you had is nothing compared to the food you get on the islands. I am from guam and I'm so annoyed going to restaurants in the US expecting it to taste like home and end up being very disappointed. I don't go to chamorro restaurants anymore because of that.
