Ken, I stood 10 feet from Ray in a very small venue in Scotland when Badlands did their one and only European tour. In 20 years this is the closest I have heard. Outstanding, sir.

There was only one Ray.....what a voice....I knew him since he was @ 21 in the clubs in NJ....everyone knew he was incredible and he would get a break professionally and in 1986 he got the call to fill in for Glenn Hughes a few shows....what a shame that he passed so young...may my friend Ray RIP forever

I think Ray was one of the most under-rated singers out there. Probably because he was a light that died waaaay too young.

It's actually a track I created from scratch. The drums are more of a laid back Zep vibe which contributes to the vocals sounding like they are on top of the groove

Nicely done! i was fortunate enough to meet Ray in 1980. he was in a local band called Quest i was 12 years old and couldnt go by myself, my Dad took me early and grabbed the first long haired guy and said my son wants to see the show but hes too young can any one watch him, well that guy was Ray, and he 'took me under his wing' for the night. it was a MOST memorable, .rock and roll dream come true for a little kid. the nicest, kind hearted and coolest dude.. R.I.P. Ray. you left us too soon

Terrific band that deserved way more recognition. Jake is one of my favorite guitarists, Chaisson is a real cool bass player and Singer is a good drummer. On their next album the drummer was Jeff Martin whose playing just blew me away. That was my favorite play along album. What's amazing about Jeff, is he was also a singer. He was the singer for Racer X.

To this day he's one of my favorite vocalists. Heartbreaking he was taken from us so soon. I've heard that his daughter has an amazing voice as well but didn't choose a musical path.

I absolutely love Dreams in the Dark. Ray had such a soulful and powerful voice. Shame he left us way too early. Good job on the vocals. Could you put the instrumental version on KZfaq. I would like to try to sing to it.

Ray has bluesy soulful voice. thats why he is defferent than the others. really natural. very unique !!!

The only way to know is to have an ENT strobe your cords. Even if you do, that isn't a sentence to surgery.
