Thanks for this, Elisabeth. In line with what you said: I used to use EVs because they picked up the warmth (like yours, my voice tends toward warmer, not brighter). Then several years ago the sound engineer at a festival pointed out the the highs were getting lost. I ended up switching to Sennheisers; it took a minute to get used to having that higher end kick, but once I did I understood what had been missing (for me) with EVs. I started with a Sennheiser condenser, and later got a dynamic for travel and am just as happy with it.
