That overdubbed power chord backed vocoder effect goes so hard... wish I could use it when ordering drive-thru coffee in the morning! 🤘😆 Your concept of "air" and maintaining it with a "sibilance bus" is really cool... it literally breathes life back into the processed vocals and adds clarity to lyrics. Those little details make such a big difference ~ thanks for sharing, Ken!

That sibilance track idea is brilliant! I've struggled with that mumbled indecipherable distorted vocals issue for longer than I can remember. I've always wondered what your secret was for putting that much distortion on the vocals while still having them remain so clear.

So killer... Jealous watching this because I don’t have my Warp Factory anymore. Love that signature sound. I used the Warp Factory and MoFx all over my vocals on an album in the early 2000s. So sweet! 🤘🔥

Would you happen to know what type of fx is used on the vocals for FLAs Shifting through the lens? Does not quite sound like a vocoder.... Since you worked on the album....

Has Ken ever explained the grounding bracelet? Will the equipment get damaged if he doesn't use it, or would a static shock just create noise?

Less than nine minutes in, and I've already got a big bag full of "aha! Oh wow! Oh, that's why that happens!". If I had a time machine I'd go tell teenage me that some day, the dude responsible for so much of the awesome sounds you love on those CD's you're listening to will have a show available over that newfangled internet thing, and he's still going to be able to blow your mind. Also, young man, you should get interested in making music now, and don't leave it for middle age, yah dummy.
