I hate how people talk crap on his History Tour because he did some lip syncing. However his dancing and choreography in that tour was the best ever in my opinion, and exactly like you said, he couldn't do both especially since he was pushing 40 at that time. He chose to focus on the dance which he should have because that's what people wanna see when they watch Michael Jackson. We know he can sing lol. As a MJ Tribute artist myself I know the struggle. I get so out of breath just dancing I couldn't even imagine trying to sing! There's no way I could do it or the people complaining about the lip syncing lol I'd like to see them try

He wasn't pushing his voice; he thought he had 50 shows ahead of him. But he got into it and got carried away. This is soul-crushing. This was only a few days before he died. I can't watch it without crying. I cried every day for 4 years after he died. I just couldn't put it behind me. It's still hard. So you aren't alone missing him. It was supposed to be five shows ,then he agreed to do ten,but ONLY AFTER they had forged his signature on the final document ,which said that he was going to do ten shows, WHICH was bad enough, but then they went right AHEAD, without his approval or permission , after all the dates kept selling out,and the demand for him became much higher,they pushed it up to one HUNDRED shows and upwards.. There was no way he could do those shows. ..then they started ABUSING HIM AND CALLING HIM VILE NAMES. AS ONE OF HIS ASININE PROMOTERS SAID, " ONE DAY HE LITERALLY SLAPPED MICHAEL AND TOLD HIM TO GET UP AND GET DRESSED TO GO DO REHEARSALS ,... MICHAEL WAS NO FEELING WELL THAT DAY , FROM LACK OF SLEEP .HE WAS EXHAUSTED.BUT THEY DIDN'T CARE

The vocals... Michaels the goat,no doubt. I can't explain my love for him.. it's too much lol This was only a few days before he died. :( he only rehearsed for about 5 weeks or so. ) They pressured him to do more shows alone in that tour than he did in a 10 year period. They ignored all the red flags (AEG) and even laughed about him for him slowly "dying" in front of their eyes. That's been traumatic for me since 12 years.

I so look forward to your Michael reactions as you have such huge respect for him and the musical knowledge to appreciate how great he was. I can't believe there was even one thumbs down on his. Crazy! Thank you so much for this. Judith Hill was the vocalist and she has a fantastic voice. The small crowd that was watching was mostly made up from his background dancers who loved and respected him so completely.

Thanks Valerie, I listened to you carefully ... seeing Michael as always moves me deeply especially knowing the physical "effort" he took to complete these "rehearsals" for these concerts ... maybe if they hadn't INSISTED him to do the rehearsals but gave directions from under the stage we would not be here to cry! I HATE THIS IS IT I do not hide it; also in light of the rehearsals in which Randy Phillips and Kenny Ortega (and AEG OBLIGED Michael under penalty of the loss of their children to do not 10 but 50 concerts (contract that I NEVER sign) !!! He used to do this live on stage with Sheryl Crowe when she was one of his back-up singers. You should check out that too.

About the microphone, Michael actually never used a headset mic when he performed slow ballad songs (except Human Nature, but that contained a lot of dance moves). This is just a rehearsal, he probably just rehearsed some dance routines with the headset and just went with it. There are photos of him and Judith Hill rehearsing this song in a later date (than this video) where he used a normal microphone, and I’m pretty sure that’s what he would have used in the actual performance.

I actually kind of liked that about this is it. Since I had a front row ticket I really wouldn't of cared if he held his mic or just used a head mic but it made songs like beat it way you make me feel show he wasn't lip syncing and also Mike did have bad arthritis in his one of his hand *read in autopsy* so it's probably just the crew being practical.

Wow. This was great. This is from that 'This Is It' Blu Ray that I bought a year ago in charity shop but have never opened it? Cos I'm still a relative 'MJ newbie' and his fans have told me it's very upsetting. I haven't seen him this thin before so it's a lil sad knowing he wasn't well and would soon pass away, yeah but still, that was a lovely performance especially when he'd just lose himself in the song and just enjoy himself even though it was supposed to be just a rehearsal. Ugh. I wish I'd gotten more into his stuff years ago. Was only since I actually researched the facts about what a great guy he actually was and all that defamation crap. Those scammers and racist tabloids took away so much of this man's life already up to this point. And then AEG finished him off. All of these scumbags didn't seem to even consider him a real person, all they cared about was money. Still not sure it's the right time for me to open up that 'This Is It' Blu Ray and watch the whole thing but this was a great sample and was lovely to watch it with you, Valerie. :)

Judith Hill is very overlooked and underrated as a singer, then add the unfortunate events of her being with Michael when he died, then with Prince when he died. But she is very much a talented singer and performer on her own merit!

From a glimpse of the shirt he's got on, I am almost positive this was his last rehearsal before going home only to O.D. Propofol has NO PLACE in a home to be used as "a sleeping Rx.". I've had it many times during my Colonoscopies, & you're not actually SLEEPING! You're sedated. And with loads of Ativan, Valium, & on top of the Propofol, it was unbelievable that he didn't die sooner. Dr. Murray should NEVER have agreed to give him so many drugs.
