It's a bit difficult to find a male singer in Malaysia that doesnt have rasp in his voice. You can check singers like Haqiem Rusli and Khai Bahar, but they also have a bit of a raspy side to their voices even though they sing pop. Probably because in Malaysia, rock was really big in the 80s and 90s (rock bands especially) so we grew up listening to rock and that influenced the singing of the younger generations. Faizal here, is one of the finest and most successful male singers in Malaysia. You can even call him a legend, to be honest. And he's a good composer too.
