"Better Days" is originally sung by Dianne Reeves in the 80's. Gigi seems to be just sitting there then goes right belting with a smile showing as if everything's just basic. Such power! Thanks, Yazik for being technical and cool at the same time. ✨

Her singing voice is so unique. First off, the tone of it is just so soulful and rich. There is such an intensity there and it's even more effective because she never shouts or is over-the-top. I still get chills whenever I hear her singing. She grabs hold of your feelings but she can do it with an expressiveness that is subtle (it's why I think that she could be a great actress if she attempted it). She can sound angelic, joyful, bored, bitter, seductive, or melancholy in any given song. 🔥❣️😍

I really love those moments when she does those distorted vocals like the metallic kind of sound which you do not usually hear to a female singer. Her swag is definitely what hooks me in every of her performances.

Tbh that song i only first heard covered by a filipina and its been gigi. Lots of famous singers ph but never made this cover blowup on socmed era but her. Also.I never thought about that good lyrics and became quite fond of it ever since.

Great review Yazik! I feel like she’s transforming belting R&B music into a Jazzy rock feel. There’s no other sound and style like this yet. I think she combined all her idol techniques in music into one organic new sound.

I think GIGI improves a lot compare to her previous performances since Tawag ng Tanghalan... Ever since, she was one of my favorite...Her diction is so clear.. It looks like she's not breathing at all.. LOL😁I really really love all her performance...

this is also my fave from her :) i love how she sings this song so much haha i have known this song since childhood but this was the version that got me paying attention to the lyrics. It didn't even register to me before that it was a song about a grandma and grandchild.

Most of us filipinos knew the song because we hear that all the time in the singing contest everytine there is any. Wether it is amateur singing xcontest in the barangays or singing contest in televiission. Regine also sang this while she wad competed in bagong kampeon singing contest way back in 1980's. Thats why the song is very popular in the Philippine. It is a very old song, buti i don't know if it is 80's or 70's
