Voces8 are among THE BEST chamber vocal ensembles in the world. One of their leaders used to sing with the famed "King's Singers" based in London. Another one of their members beat out 500 other sopranos during international auditions to gain her spot; extraordinarily talented group...they are choral royalty 👑

I was a bit obsessed the first time I heard this piece, listened to it over and over! I hope you check our some more from Voces8, I HIGHLY recommend VOCES8 & RINGMASTERS Shall we Gather at the River. Ringmasters is an international champion barbershop quartet and the arrangement is incredible!

Love your reaction Saeed,, such a sad song at the end of a man's roving days. I've been to Carrickfergus, a big castle and the sea, He was longing for a boatman to ferry him home to die in his place. Always brings tears to me. This group are so magical, as is Sibéal (pronounced st like Shi bale) love your genuine and heartfelt reaction 💚

Pretty good for an instrument with 'only' 9 keys. A cappella + good accoustics equals transcendance. Even 'plain song' chant lacks nothing. As they say, the human voice is an instrument. By the way, Celtic sound is so hauntingly beautiful. You wonder what century you're in--or if you're in all of them. It's a pretty good argument for the human soul.
