I cannot overstate how exhilarating it is to hear exquisitely talented human beings achieve such a perfect balance & blend of harmonies and, dynamics, without the interference of auto-tune and other, technological atrocities. Pure Heaven!

I can never listen to this without weeping. It completely undoes me, I fall apart. I had to sing this in choir during a really tough time in my life. This was sung and arranged so beautifully that the tears flow even harder, your voices, the melody and the words say all that was in my heart.

This darned song makes me cry every time, this was Billy absolutely skying. Some of the prettiest music on Earth in my opinion. Simplicity and beauty personified.

I am coming 80. Music has been my life. The number of covers that I have thought were better than the original I can count on one hand. This is one of them, Pure, pure class. Brilliantly written by Billy Joel. But VOCES8 and the Kings singers have taken this beautiful song to a whole new heavenly place.

Well that is worthy of a standing ovation. Both for the genius who wrote the song and for these very talented singers! This version is just about perfect as it would soothe any child (or adult) who is fighting off the turmoil of the day. Listening to this probably lowered my blood pressure 10 points.

Actually, Billy Joel's Lullaby is too small when two such masterful ensembles meet, but the marvelous arrangement brings together the warm, pleasant voices of the King's Singers and the incredible sopranos and chorus of voces8 in such a way that both groups are shown to their best advantage, resulting in a dreamlike overall sound. I don't think it gets any better than this.

Somehow, listening to this, having followed King Singers for so long, it fells like a small hymn to the irreplaceable past members of The King Singers. David Hurley, Paul Phoenix and Stephen Conelly. So beautiful. Not to be maudlin, but ... I've heard, as have we all, about stories, movies, books that deal with the subject of "letting go" when it comes time to surrendering our bodies due to a chronic, fatal illness. If I should be so fortunate to have my wits about me, if indeed my departing from this life is due to a disease or just natural causes, I can't imagine a better soundtrack than this rendition of "Lullabye" to usher me from this life to the next.

A favourite composer of mine mixed with proper singing? Pure bliss - and brings me to the brink of tears… music is a soul nourishing thing on this planet when some things seem so bleak…🎉🎉🎉

I love the version! And as much as I have to give the two ensembles credit for performing so beautifully, I equally have to credit Billy Joel for writing such a beautiful song. I still think he wrote some of the best music of the 70s, 80s and even early 90s.
