Damn boy, that was a bomb.! So easy and so powerful. I can also share a secret i use constantly. First you retouch your raw, make settle adjustments. Then you making high quality print. Then you doing high quality scan. And voila, you have it.

Would love to see you apply this technique on a regular (not famous) model/person. I think you just did a different way of color grading but it does not necessary is connected to the "vogue look". It looked like a vogue image from the start because of the famous super model and the whole setup (Hair, Fashion, Light).

This even works on dark tones. Slight adjustments here and there but it works

Okay!! This is probably the best video for that magazine cover look. I have been looking for years and finally found it! Please, post more videos with this style ( this type of editing). I only have LightRoom. I found the curve part but couldn’t find the right settings after that? Can you do this whole procedure on Lightroom?

shift+option+command+E on a Mac which merges all the visible layers.

1:25 when i brought the arrow all the way to the black side the bar, my image went completely white and blank.

That can happen with black people on just regular photos. Might be something about Canon cameras if that's what you're using. If you did all the steps like he did in this video, he said at 4:00 that he wanted a more tan look so he increased the red. So try again but either leave the red alone or reduce it. I've done that with some photos where I desaturate the red and some yellow on layer and then just merge that part with the rest of the photo. Seems to really show up on the face more than any other part of the body.
