As a Taiwanese who's into Japanese culture but living in America since I was 13, I watched Terrance House and like her the most but never realized her last name is Tsai! which is a Chinese last name in Taiwan(Tsai in China is Cai, it's pretty easy to tell that person's family background with that last name) She just shocked me how she learned her Japanese all by herself and land a spot in a Japanese show, like none of her parents is Japanese and she only went to Japan for a short time then living in Hawaii could make her Japanese so great! It's rare to see people who can do conversational Japanese in a such short amount of time.
