4 ай бұрынAmanda Lear has been a model, a muse to Salvador Dalí, the lover of David Bowie (with whom she collaborated on the video for "Sorrow") a "Disco Queen" in the 1980s, an actress, and a television presenter in Italy. One thing is for sure... She has left her mark over the ages, fashioning a persona made up of a thousand stories and styles. Exclusively for Vogue France, she looks back on the most important encounters that have impacted her life. She recalls meeting Andy Warhol, Robert Mapplethorpe and Jean Paul Gaultier, as well telling us about an unexpected tête-à-tête with Anna Wintour.

Amanda transcends gender, age, societal norms and is and always has been a pioneer as the woman she is defying expectations and doing what she wants always with her sense of style and mystery. I have around 6 LPs of Amanda Lear ..i played her music in my house in England and my friends never heard of Her...the fact is in Britain some continenral Artists,they were hardly played..and in the 70s Múnich was the Capital of Disco Music..i never heard of so many British artists before i,ve touch British Grounds.

Been a fan and collector of her music since seeing her perform on Seaside Special in 1979. Known as The Disco Queen of Europe she was very successful in Europe and North Africa. I remember seeing her first LP in a shop in Tangier. She has always been ambitious and never let age hold her back. She will be 85 on 18 June. A unique artist.

Her longevity and talents are truly unmatched, let alone her sense of humor or the fact that she's fluent in 5+ languages that she used throughout her 50+ years of career.
