This was an excellent and very informative talk, thanks to you both. And Mike, I just want to say that you and your content have inspired me to take the plunge and go into audio narration. I built a booth (like you I'm not a builder) similar to the one in your older videos, bought a decently priced cardiod condenser microphone (Maono PM500) that is run through a DBX286s, and probably most importantly I've learned to use reaper for voiceover exclusively by watching your videos. In the four months since I've started I have narrated 4 audiobooks and am constantly auditioning. You have done myself and many others a great service. I hope you are doing well Mike, and thank you!

Regarding the segment of the interview in which training for video game voice actors was discussed, I believe that live theatre is exceptional training for character dialogues. I first acted in theatre in my twenties while I was the staff announcer for a television station, and it immensely enriched my everyday delivery of commercials. Theatre trains the actor to hear the other actor, regardless of the manner in which they deliver their lines, and then think and respond accordingly, I was extremely fortunate to have first studied with a fabulous visiting director from New York and to have earned a number of leading character roles. I also created characters for my drive-time radio show with which I carried on humorous conversations. When a stage actor assumes a role, it's not only their voice that represents the character but even their thought process. A stage actor actually feels their character in their body. Of course, a voice actor isn't seen and their body is somewhat restricted as far as movement, but the character's tension and emotions are nevertheless felt in their body. My question is which voice casting sites and agents are handling most of the voice acting roles for video games. I've recently booked several roles, primarily in Eastern Europe, and they came to me through a European online voice casting site. My agents in LA, Denver, and Atlanta have sent very few video game auditions to me, even though they have my character voices demo.

My dream.... I tried for quite some time to get to work on a project with no success... if anyone could help

I have my studio, I have my gear, and still no auditions ... I dont really know where should I look... maybe I would just need to put my work out there and they will find me ... I dont really belive that :D
