He Learned that from His Main Influence James Brown. He was influenced by Jackie Wilson Also but James was more instrumentalist and band leader than Jackie Wilson as well as songwriter and producer. Jackie Wilson was the better singer.

I strongly believe til this day that the reason why Mike lip synced later on throughout his final years of performing was due to the possible damage his Lupus was possibly doing to his lungs. Mike was a machine...with maybe just a couple of "busted" parts thanks to that kind of illness.

Exactly! We cannot blame him! Plus, he has used his voice since he was 5 or 6, such a very long time, his voice needs a break as well as he needs to take some rest!

In my opinion, if Michael Jackson preferred lip syncing later in his career, it was for the benefit of much more sophisticated, elaborate, and varied choreographies and stagings. I hadn't noticed the acceleration of the tempo on this version: what a shame! I wonder if you've ever shared your reactions to MJ’s Man in the Mirror? Thank you again for your video: your success is deserved because you are penetrated by the love for singing in all its forms and you manage to convey this love to us; there is no more screen between you and your audience: you seem to be right next to us without any filter, it's magic ❣️Your students are very lucky!

Rock With You is from his (SOLO) album Off The Wall which was released in 1979. His first “adult” solo album, but he had some as a youngster too. So, this was not the beginning of his solo career - almost 10 years after the album was released - but it was his first solo tour :) I would recommend ANYTHING from the Yokohama concert! Maybe just check the set list and go from there, the entire concert is on KZfaq and it’s vocally superior to Wembley, though Wembley gets more attention. Pick and song and you won’t be disappointed. ❤️ MJ

If you want to hear Michael sing live, you have to listen to the Bad Tour (1987-1989) and all the prior tours (Victory, Triumph and Destiny tour). He also sang live in the Dangerous tour( 1992-93) but he started using playback in some songs. The History tour (1996-97) is mostly playback because Michael had Laryngitis.

Looking at his live performances, a lot of the songs are faster than the original recording. People said he did that because it was easier for him to perform. But, it doesn't matter to me.

He not singing live was down to health problems, One of them was with his longs. So he couldn't get as much air. This man was damaged a lot that people don't know about. Like ones he was performing and standing on one of the cranes, It fell down hard. in between 2 spine bones that material was damaged. So he had back issues because of it. (btw when that happened he finished his part then collapsed at the back)

Yes, 2 autoimmune illnesses, Lupus and Vitiligo, multiple injuries not to mention the relentless psychological torture he endured. He always gave 100 percent. Such a brave and courageous soul. 👑

Michael was phenomenal. The 70s and 80s were the best of MJs live performances. He definitely sped up the tempo of the songs in the Bad Tour. I love MJ Live overall.

I love your reaction videos on Michael. It's insane how Michael sang and danced live for 2 hours. I think with getting older it was more difficult for Michael to dance and sing live at the same time so he chose lip syncing.

Don't think it was that, he just got fed up performing. I say that because you can't tell me he couldn't have sung You Are Not Alone live because he was older? He is standing still. But he did sing Got To Be Starting Something generally always live, and that is moving and dancing at once. Probably because he liked that song.

i don’t think he got fed up, he loved performing its where he felt at home. i’m sure he was lip syncing during the HIStory tour because he had laryngitis during that time.

MJ never lied to audience! Before the history world tour, he said that he could not perform all the songs live, because he had health problems. He also had laryngitis throughout the tour.

@@roziko5311 nope, he had it for three shows not the whole lot. Check articles from time, of course the tour site is down now but he even said on there he was totally better three shows in. He had preformed 1000s of shows by History and he hated to tour from pretty much Dangerous onwards. It's ok if he didn't want to sing live. No one said he lied or had to. He wanted to get into film badly, he didn't want to tour.

Later on like towards the end of his career he got sick. I think on the HIStory he had lupus and laryngitis on the early legs.

You were pretty Spot on except this Song "Rock With You" was from The "Off The Wall" album which was his solo release from Epic Records in 1979. Michael was a Excellent Singer, performer and Dancer. Michael has been performer since he was little with the Jackson five. I also believed that he was dealing with Lupus which affected him more as he got older. So his lungs were not as good as he got older so he would dance without singing at the same time.

Damn rock with you is an outer body experience live, so much SOUL!! Can you react to some Kelly Clarkson, I’d suggest something but she’s literally always flawless I’m not really sure which performance to recommend. Maybe her cover of Carrie Underwood’s I know you won’t, it’s pretty amazing.
