When she was through singing, I turned to my wife said that was the best vocal artist I believe I’ve ever heard and I’ve been listening to her ever since. You have a new subscriber but BEWARE! this is a long comment. I hope you have the patience to read to the end. Thank you for discovering and reacting to my favourite singer. Quite a number of vocal coaches have discovered and reacted to Angelina and comment favourable, expressing surprise that a 13 year old has such a mature voice. The react to two or three of her performances and the nothing! Simon was correct when he said that he had never heard that version,. Angelina re-arranged it for the performance. She does this with many of her cover songs. Her fans call it "Angelinafying" a song. The lady who first stood and clapped at the end of Angelina's performance was her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani. On her right was Angelina's mother, Sara Astar, then Juliette,her sister and last her uncle, Michael Astar who is also her Manager. My introduction to Angelina was on her first appearance at Norway's Got Talent and I didn't expect much from a 7 year old. Just a cute little girl, all nervous, rushing the song in parts, hesitating and then stumbling over or forgetting her words and generally acting her age and doing her best to get through a childish song like "Twinkle, twinkle little star". What did I see? Well, it was a seven year old child, with wild hair and gaps in her mouth, where there once were Baby teeth. Declared she was going to sing a song by the legendary Billie Holiday. Gestured off stage for the technician to start the music and then started singing. The body of the 7 year old was still there but the voice wasn't. Or was it? I was surprised then and that surprise is still with me, some six years later. I have followed her career since I saw that first video on KZfaq and in the six years she has been singing publicly she has mastered many musical genres, including Blues, Country, Disco, Jazz,Pop, R&B and Soul, EDM and Rock and covered songs first performed by many famous singers,like Adele, Whitney Houston, Nancy and Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Lana del Ray, Gloria Gaynor, Elvis Presley, Louis Armstrong and many others. What is more extraordinary is that she takes ownership of every song she sings while still paying respect to the original. You will notice that she never goes into unnecessary theatrics. Never sings those high or low notes unless they are absolutely necessary. Never projects herself in any performance which says "look how good I am". She just sings the song as she feels it is meant to be sung. And I'll add an even more extraordinary item for you to consider, to show how unique she is. AJ is simply the best singer right now and ever and that's a fact. There is no voice like her's, not even close and there never was.

By this time she had already sang for an audience of 40 thousand...Infront of many full orchestras...the Nobel peace prize...etc.

Angelina said in an interview it always felt completely natural to sing on stage for an audience. Singing is the only thing that never makes her nervous. When AGT Champions was filmed, Angelina was 13. Her 14th birthday was on January 10, 2020. We, myself included, say just watch how good she will be as an adult if she is so good now, but she actually is pretty spectacular right now.

Every time I hear Angelina sing, I picture her stepping out of an old black & white movie, to transport us back in time, so we can fall in love with these genuine masterpieces again ❤️ 💚 💙 💜 Great reaction!!! Thank you for your excellent and detailed reaction. Before I talk about Angie, I have to correct two things: one, she auditioned for Norway's Got Talent when she was 7 and won it when she was 8. The other very minor thing is that this performance was in America's Got Talent - The Champions II (2), not 1. Now, about Angelina. She is Norwegian (of Persian, Japanese and Swedish heritage) and started singing when she was 1-1/2 years old (video to prove it). At 5 and 6 she begged her Mom to go on Norway's Got Talent but was told she would have to wait. She has several amazing home videos of her performing in a school recording studio when she was 6. Since winning Norway's Got Talent she has recorded 130 unique songs, many several times in different ways. She has written and performed three songs and had two songs written for her to sing. She sings all genres, except perhaps for rap, but is most comfortable with jazz from the 1930s to the 1960s. Although she follows the songs, she always makes them her own, injecting her special and unique voice and stellar technique. There is no one else who can interpret a song and deliver its meaning directly into your soul. She is the ultimate storyteller songstress. She has performed at many concerts, mostly in Europe, and is well known there. She donated most of her NGT winnings to charity and has helped raise over 22,000,000 Euros for charity. You really need to watch her first two songs she sang for Norway's Got Talent, I think it would go a long way in helping you see where she started. That acapella bit and starting from, I call it a cold start, where she received no start note and then to nail it. She did the same thing at 7 years old when she sang, 'I'm A Fool To Want You' also with no start note and she sang the whole song acapella. She didn't waver there either. Stay in tune and on beat from beginning to the end. I'm sure by now someone has told you that Angelina arranges all her own music. Some times she makes little changes, other times she makes big changes like here. Queen saw the performance and like it so much they put it on all their social media platform and sent it to everybody on their lists.

Angelina is my favorite singer. Her family keeps her safe and only allows Angelina to do a few performances a year. Her uncle is her manager and where ever Angelina goes you will see her mother, her grandmother (a well know Iranian artist) who usually records all kinds of footage of Angelina and her lil sister. She does not get nervous. She has been performing on stage in front of big audiences, on live tv, backed by anything from full orchestras, jazz bands, all the way to acapella. Angelina is signed to Angelina Jordan Inc. and is managed by her family. She has to finish school first. A lot of her concerts look to be charity work. She also picks her own music, but her mum has veto. If you listen to her version of Amy Winehouse Rehab, it’s hilarious, as she had change all the words. She knows she's very good but doesn't make a fuzz about it, or surrounds herself with gimmicks or tricks when singing. She was born to sing. You can see it in her performances at Norway's Got Talent when she was 7/8. She's a natural, the voice of her generation. Mainly because, as you said, she connects with people, people are drawn to her voice. Angelina has a wide variety of vocal resources which she uses a she sees fit for each song. Angelina developed a love for jazz classics before she was 3 years old. At that point, she began listening to artists like Ella Fitzgerald, Dina Washington, Billie Holiday and others on youtube and would voraciously listen to everything jazz that she could find. Her parents and family are very protective of her childhood and have turned down many signing offers from record labels, including Disney until she has graduated. She has a genuine love of music and has a great respect for the art and craft of music which is very evident in the way in which she interprets and performs the songs she selects. I have never seen anyone with as much musical intelligence and wisdom as this young lady does. She has a grace and maturity in her voice that is astounding for someone twice her age.

I know I'm a little late but I felt the urge to comment. I got out of bed early and decided to turn on my you tube channels in the middle of the night. I first heard you listen to and react to Lara Fabian singing Je Suis Malade. She was fabulous and, so were you! I watched the whole video including the breathing exercises prompting heartfelt reactions from one's heart :) Then, I remembered you had done a reaction to Angelina and I wanted to see it again. I'm so glad I did! Yes, you were blown away! Weren't we all! I regard this piece of music a true MASTERPIECE. Since this video (Aug, 2020) she has signed up with Republic Records. And, you know the contract stated very clearly that Republic would promise (on paper!) to do nothing to interfere with Angelina's creativity. She has now come out with her first song (an original) from the studio and I hope you will listen and react to it. It's called Million Miles. It's personal and has a warm message that she intended to also comfort people who hear the song.

What you saw from the audience was a spontaneous reaction. Angelina writes all of the arrangements to the covers songs she performs. You must see her nine year old performance singing “I put a spell on you”. I guarantee you will be gobsmacked.

You may be interested to know that Angelina has just signed with Republic Records as their number one priority new artist! She had previous turned down dozens of the biggest people in the industry. This is a huge landmark and we all knew it was coming eventually. This label also has Taylor Swift, Shawn Mendes, Ariana grande, Jonas Brothers and more. You should watch "I Put A Spell on you" the studio version. You might want to watch her audition for Norway's got Talent when she was 7. Not to review but to get an idea who she is. She contributes millions of dollars to children's organizations and has even writen a book that she contributes the proceeds to charities. She has said she will not where shoes when she preforms until all children have shoes to ware. if you decide to It's not just her singing talent but her talent as a person. she is a beautiful person inside and out! Her Parents have turned down record deals saying they will not let her sign anything until she is 18.
