I agree with you 100%! I'm not a singer, nor do I have any interest in learning, but I just love his content! Just the way he is able to be so positive, especially when he analyzed one of his fans, who happened to be deaf, sing "My Heart Will Go On!" Throughout the entire video he didn't say a single negative thing & instead was able to breakdown his singing positives & negatives into some very constructive instructions, which I can guarantee made his fan get encouraged even more to practice & work on all that Sam suggested in order to get better. If Sam was more like the judges from American Idol, America's Got Talent, The Voice, & X Factor, then it would've been nothing but negativity & insults & his deaf fan would've probably lost all hope for improvement & never sing again! Sam is just an amazing teacher & what looks like, human being as well! With so much negativity & online bullying spread throughout KZfaq, it's a breath of fresh air watching 10-15 minutes of excellent instruction & pure positivity, & then going through the comment section to find out there's not a single negative comment posted! I think that's why so many of us who don't sing & aren't interested in learning to sing still come & watch his videos everytime he uploads.

I just discovered you yesterday. After, so far, 10 years of depression because I lost the ability to play guitar and piano due to hand cramping. Music used to be such a passion for me since the age of 9 and watching your videos has reminded me that I fell in love with music not for playing physical instruments but how it made me feel in the depths of depression to make me feel less alone. I forgot I have another instrument I have neglected over the years that could bring that joy back in my life. I've never heard someone describe, so well, how great singers are able to use and manipulate their voice. It makes me see singing in the same concepts that I have learned in being classically and jazz trained in piano and guitar. Thanks for bringing that joy back in my life, you have no idea.
@nanwijanarko1969
@nanwijanarko1969 5 жыл бұрын
It must be devastating not to be able to do what you love so much and you had trained so hard for. You're strong! I hope you find that joy, nothing can take it away for you. I play classical piano. Not that well but I did put some hardwork for several years, it helped me with my anxiety. I can't play now due to external circumstances, but music is still ever so magical. PS. Would you like to be my friend?
@BigHenFor
@BigHenFor 5 жыл бұрын
Please may I make a suggestion? Learn how to sing. I cannot know what it's like to lose the ability to play the instrument that you worked so hard to master. Yet, you still have a voice, and as someone who has an ongoing battle with depression, I've been singing and found it even by myself to be a healing thing. I don't worry when I sing, I lose my weariness in the singing. You have a wonderful advantage - you have some musical training so your ears are trained so you'll know how to correct and stay in key and in time. But... Just sing to let your voice out. You could have a listen to two channels I love - a) Postmodern Jukebox - specialises in inviting brilliant singers to perform covers of hits in various styles covering the 20th Century and b) Puddles Pity Party - Puddles is a wonderful, expressive singer who was on America's Got Talent, and he sings some beautiful covers. I love these because I can just enjoy listening or sing along if I like. You could too.

I love all your reaction videos and I know you love the K pop and Korean classical singers a lot but could you please do a reaction to some of the great rock and roll icons. Top of my list would be Freddie Mercury but also Robert Plant and maybe even going back in time further to the powerful voice of Tom Jones and the more controlled Frank Sinatra. Not sure, maybe i'm the wrong market for you but It would be great.

Buck Futter I love older rock singers, including the ones you mentioned. I even have Tom Jones on my iPod, Welsh that I am. 😀

What I freaking adore about you Sam you make it sound like everyone’s weaknesses aren’t wrong you try to show where else you can put them and that is TRULY encouraging. I’m scheduling a singing lesson soon after ignoring my natural talent for 20 years so that I can enjoy bringing my daughter up with songs I enjoyed

I’d love to hear more about how to “thin out” your voice as opposed to “pulling up weight”. I’m not an advanced singer and I get what your saying but don’t know how to do it

Wow, So Hyang was phenomenal. I would love to sing that well some day. If I want to it's practice and a voice teacher. Also, I loved your long hair, but see why you cut it. My saying is, "it's only hair and will grow back." I think I get my love of long hair due to my love of hair metal bands, lol. Saying that, I actually like your new cut. Great reaction and I'm starting to understand what you are talking about. Yeah me.

I always watch this particular performance of hers whenever I feel down bcs she has this ability to affect me emotionally. I feel comforted every single time I hear her singing this. Now, however, I appreciate it even more after you break down whatever she does with her voice! Thanks Sam for the eloquent explanation 👍

I will always instantly watch any video you do on Sohyang as she is me favorite singer. I love her voice and how she sings, but never really knew why I did. Hearing you explain why she is so good, or how she is doing these things really makes me appreciate how talented she really is. Thank you for the video.
