This was the first voiceplay cover I've heard and it is still my favorite. It opened my a new world of a capella music.

No one does it like VoicePlay. That's not to take anything away from the talents of other a cappella groups, but literally, *no one* does it like VoicePlay. There is no other a cappella group out there arranging their own music, filming and editing their own videos (again, literally- Eli provides lighting, Layne's co-owns a video production studio, he and Geoff handle video editing, etc), and adding their own particular flair to everything they touch. I love that these guys are the total creative package, and the work they deliver is always extraordinary. There are so many good songs to recommend by them, and basically it comes down to your preferences since every piece they do is going to surprise and impress. Their most recent is The Dragonborn Comes, from Skyrim, and of course I'd recommend that one, but songs like the Halo Theme, Billie Eilish in 3 Minutes, Warriors, or Carry On Wayward Son are other favorites. And if you like Disney (or Nightmare Before Christmas), these guys will astound you with what they can do in pieces like the Little Mermaid Medley, Moana Medley, Friends On the Other Side, and Go The Distance. TL;DR: these guys are one of a kind, and you won't pick a bad song. I do hope you'll continue on down this rabbithole!

Not exactly throat singing: that was Geoff using subharmonic register, with a touch of reverb added in production; giving it that fog horn-type sound.

Fun reaction, thanks! They're spectacular and getting better every single production. That should be impossible by now, but they're still doing it. If you like Disney, check out Frozen or the Little Mermaid medley.... but Dragonborn, their most recent, is simply jaw dropping.

In my humble opinion Layne Stein (Voiceplay) Adam Rupp (Home Free) and Kevin Olusala (Pentatonix) are three of the most amazing vocal percussionists in the business.

Interesting thing you guys see on the forecastle. But do you know the original text from a book? A boy (about 7 years old) takes another to heaven and his mother says this to him in the sense that he will become a bloodthirsty Viking. All this did not please the father. even if the song is in a game and voiceplay do a very good job. So the song is actually too deeply sad in its original form. Moana and Little Mermaid medleys or Africa (metal cover by Leo Moracchioli feat. Rabea & Hannah)

The first time I heard this song and specially Geoff Castelluci base notes i thought he was a crocodile because of the base notes. I wish you will go back listening to Dimash because as crazy as this may sound his voice has gotten better and there are a lot of songs that you have missed but could you please react the song STRANGER the two versions of it please!
