That version of Grey/Add was a golem with her memories, and it showed her her deepest desire: To be with both Lily and Lillie. Also noticed that Cif referred to Grey as a "manusya", which was a term used in ZeroRanger to refer to the ancient humans from the far past, who fought the onion people and wiped them out with the power of the Lotus Jewel. Given that much of the tech in DIS was apparently reverse-engineered from the Primeval Fighter's wreck, it's likely that the "Manusya" term was also preserved with it.

I tried to translate the dialogue there and I couldn't get it to work; I hope someone else has better luck than I do!
