Mr. Virtual's ability is more focused on spiritual taunting people in real life. Wiki did not state anything about what he can do "inside" the game. So compare to Fatal, who can consume codes as food, I'd say Fatal's no doubt the winner as V has no way to prevent himself from being consumed.

Hate to break it to ya but Mr.V and Fatal Error share nothing in common. Mr.V is NMI (No More Innocence) version of mario. Its confirmed by the creator that Mr.Virtual's inspiration is from NMI and both of them are canonnically friends

IDK why, but when they both do a right pose, it looks like Fatal Error tries to strike Mr. Virtual, but then Mr. Virtual just dodges it and then mocks him for thinking that he could kill him. Even if Fatal did kill him, Mr. Virtual can just come back.
