52 here and really diggin the sound they have on this album so far I'm liking everything I've heard off of it, they have a catchy sound that really reminds me of Metallica off of their Black album but even a little heavier, the guitars are nice and crunchy and the drums are on point

@Skip Mickmack Lorna shore has a song with over 5 mil view's & it came out only a few months ago. Ghost has a song from less than 2 months ago with well over 2 million views. Saying rock is dead is silly. Saying it's not setting any trends & isn't very popular is true in most places, especially the US. Pop music is simple & easy to sing along with. That fits the majority of human's needs for a quick fix of music. For those who like to dive deep into music & enjoy something more that's when other genres come into play.. It's basically a hobby at that point which of course will have a smaller pool. It's akin to the popularity of a mobile game compared to a console game. If you know anything about video games you'd know how stupid one would sound if they said Clash of clans is a better game than Dark souls or something solely because it's way trendier & popular with way more exposure.

@Skip Mickmack Agreed. I remember going to slipknot & SOAD shows at venues for only 1400 people before they hit it big. Now they are all that's left. Idk there are bands like Halestorm & especially Eluveitie who are basically the pop bands in European countries. Metal is HUGE in places like Finland, Sweden & Germany

I discovered Volbeat when I was Deployed to Iraq in 2008. One of the guys in my squad was listening to them and we'll the rest is history. I was hooked instantly and have been listening to them ever since. I have been able to see them live a handful of times and I can not wait to see them again this year.

As a long time Volbeat fan (Guitar Gangsters was when I found them), I am happy to have some heavy chugging guitar riffs back . Not that the experimental albums were bad, but it's not what I fell in love with. The two singles releases so far... Bring that heavy hitting Danish fucking rock and roll back!!

Yup, and this is exactly the problem I have with them. Rock or metal or whatever you wanna call it has to sound dirty, gritty and rough, not clean. This particular one is a little heavier than the other Volbeat songs I know (they are my girlfriend's favourite band, so I know a lot), which makes it kinda okay-ish. If you like this style, you may want to check out a band called Mustasch. They are Volbeats meaner sounding swedish cousins.

This is the song my american mate told me to listen to and straight away i was hooked. That was a few years ago. I am spreading volbeat all over Australia so they know metallica aint got crap on these guys. I actually got a mate hooked so hard he sends me videos of himself driving home after work in the pitch black smashing volbeat

I got turned on to this band about a year ago on SiriusXM, and I was instantly impressed by their music. I'm from TX and I feel some of their music have a westernish sound, especially Doc Holiday. Keep up the great work VOLBEAT 👍 💯🔥

Michael Poulsen is an extraordinary songwriter, vocalist and musician, with one of the most powerful and recognizable voices in rock today, and any friend of Neil Fallon has to be a solid individual. Been listening to Rob since his early days with Anthrax and in 2013 he joins Volbeat, which i had no clue who they where.I love Volbeat but this new harder sound on Shotgun Blues takes it to a whole new level> PLS keep doing what u did with this track.U guys fucking ROCK.Michael Poulsen is a god on vocals

If you like heavy check their earlier stuff. Last couple albums relaxed a bit but they're heavy at their core since the beginning. Michael is incredible at what he does

I agree, saw them in concert when they were just getting started. Instant love of the riffs powerful vocals and genuine passion for the people in attendance. They really came to please the audience and gained alot of respect for a heart and soul performance. I can't say enough great things about what they do, thank you volbeat for your contribution to the metal world.

I work construction supply, we have JBL speakers on all the forklifts and can sync them. We heard this through one and then synched them. None of us had heard this song yet. Everyone outside was bangin their head. Two people from the business beside us were outside havin a smoke, and asked who this was. Volbeat, you killed it, this shit is hard. Absolutely on my playlist forever.

This band sounds like a cross between metallica and iron maiden. The thrash of metallica, and the base and lead of maiden. The vocals are an example of versatility. So far I am enjoying this for the first time.
