VOLCANO REPLACEMENT | Intamin Vertical Blitz Coaster | KINGS DOMINION | NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster

Hello there,
this is part three of my Volcano replacement video series. For the last video I chose to design an Intamin Blitz Coaster with a vertical launch. As always, I have designed the layout in FVD and imported it into NoLimits 2 Roller Coaster Simulation. I aimed for a fast paced and intense experience with some unique elements. Most of the ride is inspired by other Intamin Blitz coaster such as Taron, Toutatis and Velocicoaster. In addition to that I got some inspiration form some of the layouts released by Intamin themselfes. I hope you enjoy this creation!

I love how you took a regular model that can be cloned and fit it in with a more compact layout. I think this ride model with the vertical launch would be amazing for the park if they do want a ride to replace it with track shooting out of a volcano.

This is one of the best layouts I have ever seen, and I've watched an embarrassing amount of povs. The flow and mix of elements is perfect. I built a similar coaster a while back and you've inspired me to go back and fix it up and finish it.

Unforunately, Cedar Fair hasn't been working with Intamin lately...

The only thing holding this back from happening is that Cedar Fair and Intamin haven't worked with each other ever since the whole Cedar Point shoot-the-chutes ride incident a while back. While it would be an excellent fit for King's Dominion and Intamin has worked on their reliability and safety of their rides and had made huge improvements in those areas, I just don't see Cedar Fair and Intamin mending bridges anytime soon so this coaster is unfortunately a pipe dream and nothing more. The layout is great, would fit the area quite well and the color scheme is great and would be a great fit for the park, the sad reality is that it would never happen. Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is just the fact. I really think the best possible fit would be a launched STC from Vekoma. It would be a near 1:1 replacement but with a new layout, still have 4 inversions like before and a new color scheme and I can actually see Cedar Fair and Vekoma working together to bring their coasters to their parks as they have really been knocking it out of the park and i could see a tilt coaster going to Cedar Point sometime in the future, one of their launch coasters being a good Vortex replacement in King's Island and they could make it work well with the terrain and could have a similar color scheme to Vortex as a nod to the now deceased Arrow looper and have the same amount of inversions as the coaster but with a nice airtime-filled layout and maybe Carrowinds would get one as well in the form of one of their new flying coasters to replace their old Flying Dutchman coaster. I just see Cedar Fair and Vekoma working together more than Intamin and it is really sad as they had a really good relationship for a really long time and I just don't see that coming back anytime soon.

Great comment! This is of couse just a concept and I agree with you that this is highly unlikely. In addition I think your predictions are very realistic and I would not be suprised if some of them will be realised. Maybe you should also consider that if Top Thrill 2 (stupid name) is successful they may get some new custom Zamperla launch coasters!

@@knosowski4 Hey even Vekoma could be rung up as well as they have been killing it as of late. They used to be one of the roughest manufacturers out there to now making some of the smoothest coasters out there and I don't think Zamperla has inverted or flying trains yet so that would have to be handled by either Vekoma or B&M. I mean a whole aviation-themed area around After Burn is a really cool idea from Brandon over at Theme Park Predictions (forget what he changed his channel name to as he just changed the name recently) could have the new flying coaster tell the story of the Wright Bros. and the first powered flight which could be really interesting to a lot of younger people cause real US history isnt really taught i schools anymore and in its place revisionist history which teaches the country was founded on slavery which totally negates how Thanksgiving became a major holiday here amongst other pretty major fallacies or total rewrites and is so filled with lies that it was debunked by a major university here and it is sad that these kids are not being taught real history and the ramblings of an insane woman these days so the new flying coaster telling that story and having that theme would be awesome and would fit modern Cedar Fair really well as they have stepped their theming game up A WHOLE LOT as of late. I mean, they have been putting out a good amount of themed attractions as of late. While it might not be on the ride itself but the queues are pretty heavily themed and it has been a nice change of pace for them.

Intamins have gotten more reliable but no idea how reliable the vertical launch coaster which is already built is

kings dominion ain’t getting a intamin 1. there are already 2 intamin launch coasters at Busch gardens Williamsburg 2. Cedar fair currently hates them 3. too similar to pantheon 4. The coaster would be extremely unreliable

I agree with you but this is just a fan concept. I've also made two other Vekoma concept for this plot of land. Given the recen collaboration between Cedar Fair and Vekoma, these concepts might actually be more realistic
