The dominant top 5 baron lane right now are Voli Mundo Atrox Urgot Sett if you get behind it's ok but if you get ahead you can fight adc and support 1v2

I have m7 on voli and sett and especially on volibear if you get behind (lose lane) you are completely useless. Volibear is literally made to win lane, it is very hard to lose lane with the champion because he falls off incredibly hard late game which is why people started building him full late game oriented so the champion can stay relevant (phase rush, gathering storm, overgrowth heartsteel etc.), so if you do somehow manage to lose lane you become useless, getting one shot as you engage and doing no damage. This Is not entirely the case with sett because his scaling is better but its still similar.

My guess is Pix on hit dmg from shields on enemy champions will quickly stack to reduce any high impact gragas abilities.

Why force of nature? For the extra movement speed. FoN + black cleaver = nobody escapes. Volibear suffers kiting, and he di not built Trinity early on. The extra movement speed is key.

I don't get the point with force of nature, I think gragas was not that much of a threat. But even if he wanted mr, spirit visage synergizes with his lifesteal and his shield.

I think he tanked the turret so his minions can push longer. He's gonna recall to heal anyway so why not spend the extra useless health to tank the tower.

He’s reaaaly good past few patches. If you’re good at him even scarier. Though no one plays him so I stopped banning him. If he was played more I’d re ban him. He is that good long as your good at him not amazing but just decent

He is pretty nice still. The main issue you will have are fed heartsteel champions. Then youd have to expect people to let you farm. Then you would have to take in mind and ensure of who you can kill (ie. makes sure you kill the soraka in a fight first when squishy enough). However you can OTP hm and get used to uwinnable and winnable stuff as with most champs in S tier.

Kha still has insane farm and can build up tempo easily, he also does fine against tanky comps with bruiser build, there is just more competition than when i he used to be SSS+ tier

Because: - voli is spacing well Urgot dash and passive hit => Urgot damages are greatly reduced. - voli is maintaining his passive on, granting him attack speed - he is using his 2nd ability to deal damage with his passive on, which gives him life steal on like 50% of the damage Urgot doesn't deal enough damage to make up for Voli's regen early on.

Not really broken in top lane, a good top laner completely negates him. Conqueror Jaycee, absolutely wrecks him and phase rush gragas just cancels him out in anything.

My favorite pick to counter voli top? Press the attack Janna rushing magnetic blaster. Then going triforce into blade of the ruined king. Two tornado, move speed buff and ult. Volibear does nothing all lane phase. He constantly pushes due to his passive. Gets ganked infinitely
