fantastic review .. even I felt the same when I drove this car.. it is undoubtedly the best car in its segment no doubt .. credit goes to the dsg gearbox and the power of tis diesel engine.. only negative is its back seat comfort.. every time u drive it u will feel like loving it more.. I'm talking about the automatic one..

The price point would be unaffordable for a hatchback especially when VFM is the mantra of India's market...it would be atleast 14L OTR for the 1.5 TDI DSG. People will buy a Rapid or Vento even for 15L, but not the Polo as they are looking for a spacious backseat at that price point.

Bhuvaneshwar Dharmalingam i think keyturn car can start with dead battery it's simple by pushing it and when it reaches enough momentum just release clutch while gear in first .. is it right? but what about dsg gear box how we can put it in first gear with dead battery? thanks..

How did VW manage to implement a DSG with Diesel? I heard DSGs don't behave well over time with diesel engines due to the vibrations affecting the gearbox. I am not complaining, just worried about the long term life of this gearbox

You are confused. Vibration comes only with CVT and AMT. DSG is for enthusiasts. Go with manual and save money.

That engine is bought in keeping 2020 bs6 norms,. That engine is bs6 standard,. All engine will be downsized to meet the emission standards from 2020.

Anurag Kishan have u ever driven a vento? i own a vento and has test driven ameo too. no complaints regarding the performance wtso ever but it doesn't inspired as much confidence as vento did. and can't ever compare vento and ameo coz both r different class dude. vento is a perfectly balanced sedan. ameo can't give u all that big car feel.. and those hu r looking fr a cheaper option, ameo is fr u..🙂🙂

Anurag Kishan its upto u how u felt when i shared a fact.. both the cars have same hp and torque and ameo having lesser size ll hv a better acceleration..its not something which needs so much technical knowledge to understand.. but the extra length and longer wheelbase gives that extra confidence which is very important. thats wt i mean.. and hope uv seen my very first comment.. I said ventos lil bro.. and better if u dnt feel bull shitd If someone shares their opnion.

Quality comes at a price agreed, but that price needs to be reasonable. After spending more than 10 lacs, if you do not have enough space at the back to make your family sit in, whats the point? Better spend a little extra and buy a full sedan like City, Ciaz, Verna, Linea, etc. There are also great choices of compact SUV at this price. If you really want compact sedan, better buy something within a budget of less than 7 lacs. Wait for Tata Tigor, amazing package, space and looks...

Rajdeep Das, bro its not like u can't move ur family in it and at the back seat probably women or children's sit n I'm pretty sure they are not of 5'10 height so rear seat space is not a issue for them at all and in India the average people are around 5'6 there are very few who are above 6.

The Ameo has visible quality issues, especially the gaps in the panel. Just compare it to a year old Polo or Vento bro. Maybe you will miss it if no one told you, but I noticed after someone pointed it out to me.

it's really a fantastic car.. in case of built quality its equalent to polo.. if ur buying one buy ameo tdi diesel dsg its powerful and fuel efficient with good driving dynamics and features.. it's class leading when it comes to compact sedan
