Not a deal breaker for me although I think they should be standard on all new premium vehicles

Osram in Germany developes a LED bulb to fit in T6.1 H7, so best thing is to wait and get it a lot cheaper.

Hi John, One or two companies do offer this but the cost is around £2500 I think. This price may come down over time as the technology gets better and the cost of the units may come down.

I have a 2021 T6.1 Ocean with LED headlights. Do I need to do anything to drive on the continent? My vehicle is RHD. and I will be going to France. I can't find a setting in the infotainment system like there was on the T6.

I kinda wish the footage between the 2 kinds were the same. The LED footage was skewed to the left and very near bushes and hedges, and since you’re in the left side of the road it feels a lot brighter since you’re closer. The non-led was on the right side of the road which was quite empty so naturally feels darker

A point. The beach carries h4 bulbs and the ocean h7. The h7 and the headlights of the ocean without led illuminate more than those of the beach.

Hi you are correct the standard beach does come with the H4 bulbs, but our beach in the video has the exterior pack which includes the H7 as part of the package. I should have explained that and i am going to do this again on the panel vans / Kombi as the H7 are now an option from the factory at £140. So will show all three headlights together. How can price not be a deciding factor??? LED is clearly better but price and use need considering. Longer vid please with more examples.

Hi Tim, your right price is a large factor, as a comment above I'm going to be doing this again as VW have just added the option of H7 bulbs on the vans so will be showing H4 / H7 / LED. I learned alot from doing the last video and the next will be more in depth.

I read that LED headlights do not require beam deflectors on continent as they give off a flat beam, could anyone confirm this? Also, how do you get around French requirement for spare bulbs if LEDs are fitted? Thanks, Alan
