Volkswagen Golf 1 1979 1.5 diesel Cold start after 3years

Starting Volkswagen Golf 1 after 3 years of sitting, engine starts without problems.
This was very first diesel engine in golf mk1 1.5d, newer variants was equipped with improved 1.6d and 1.6 turbo diesel engines.
Current version was produced in Sarajevo in TAS factory in 1979. and had mark JGL or Yugoslavian Golf.
The vehicle was previously filled with fresh fuel.

The engine in mk2 is little bit diferent than this one, water pump could be DOLZ - A151

Koja je razlika izmedju 1.5 ck i 1.6 cr dizela znam da 1.6 ima malo vise konja ali ima li jos nesto

1.5l engine = dieselized petrol engine, it was developed in a rush after the oil crises from the 1.5l petrol model. 1.6l engine = first specific diesel engine, optimized in details for higher operating pressure. Better cylinder head gasket-design.
