good advice on emptying the filter housing of contaminated fuel before fitting a new filter, another video on here shows the new filter being sunk into the old diesel from the previous dirty filter , which is clearly less than ideal if there were any dirt or water present

That’s not where the fuel filter is in my mk7. I can’t find it. Add TDi to the title of this video

Perhaps it would be helpful to mention how the correct filter type can be found. I believe cars from 2015 onwards used the UFI filter type (the longer one). However further guidance on this would be really helpful I think.

Thanks for the good suggestion. However, it would probably be best to consult a parts retailer - they will be able to advise on the correct specification, availability and price.

I was just thinking that when ordering one online. Two different measurements for the Golf MK7. One with a height of 153mm and another at 170mm
