IN THIS VIDEO FOR THE VOLKSWAGEN POLO 6R VLAND HEADLIGHTS INSTALL FULL TUTORIAL I AM SHOWING THE FULL PROCESS FOR HOW I PREPPED THE HEADLIGHTS BEFORE I INSTALLED THEM I ASSUMED THE INSTALL SHOULD JUST BE A STRAIGHT PLUG AND PLAY BUT I WAS SURPRISED IT NEEDED A BIT OF EFFORT BUT THE HEADLIGHTS ARE WELL WORTH IT.

Great Video ! few days ago, I purchased Vland Audi A4's style projector-based headlights for my Polo MK5 (6C) & I am currently using the stock halogen bulbs, which I plan to replace next month. I have a question: Does any H7 LED operate for both low and high beams? or we need to buy any specific ?

Yes I had mine on in the UK just get the correct bulbs for them and you'll get through an mot no issues

seem's like a lot of hassle for something that should be simple as its classed as plug and play. Other then these headlights for the polo 6R mk5, which others can you recommend that does the same thing and is plug and play or doesn't have to be plug and play but be fairly simple to install??

@@The_journeyy I seen a comment from "Only Mods" where a viewr asking about the low and high beams light quality compared to stock and the youtuber said that the low beams are really good but the high beams are bad compared to stocks. which is very surprising.

@ruffiyan sounds like he got a defective pair I had mine for ages and they were perfect even sold them when my engine went so they got a second life

@@The_journeyy which LED bulbs and housing fit the vland headlights without cutting it up like you did or do you have to do it for it to sit right? how is the low beam and high beam quality on these as we out in the uk use the low beams more then high. im considering these lights but need more info if possible please.

I have a doubt. In the stock headlight, there is no DRL. So Volkswagen did not put there a seperate wire for future use. But in the Vland Headlight, there is DRL. How did it work for you?

Nice pain photo in your DP it works fine by just plugging them in not alteration needed I believe the option must already be installed in the wiring harness or the supplier has found a work around

I would look online using the name of the headlights you got so you can find what bulbs it requires that will be the easiest solution or have a look on the polo page and see if anyone has those headlights and what bulbs did they get 😁

Do all the bulbs need to be retrofitted in this way, if I bought one from vland would it be plug and play.

I just got these lights but the bulb fixing was a spring wire clamp so your original ones would fit in fine ...weird

Hello again sir, I recently got the issue with my Tail Lights with Vland resolved, they're mounted now and work. So as I bought all in package I tried to mount the Headlights now. Previously only tried them out with the power cable attached. When I try to slide them in they simply will not slide like the original headlights. Did you somehow how to wiggle them in or put extra pressure? Worried to breake the Headlight mounts on the car itself (the bottoms ones). Any suggestions?

If your having a problem pushing them in your need to adjust the bracket mounts the lights seat on I didn't have any issues with mine were adjusted perfectly from factory just pushed them and didn't have to put any pressure at all 😊

@@The_journeyy Thank you for the advice! I thought about that too but as my original headlights slide in and out with a light push and with ease, i feel that the Vlands should also do that because the brackets on car align in the same place for both headlights? Don't really want to adjust them because I may have to switch headlights back and forth every year for the inspection to pass through so adjusting the brackets each time would be quite bothersome.

That's a good point actually so it may be a issue with the set you've bought the headlights are meant to be like for like and just plug and play

hello brother, I recently bought a polo 6r 2011 1.2 (my first car) and I would like to make the first external changes, where did you buy the front bumpers? they are different from the original version and beautiful ❤️

Hey bro well done on the purchase the polo is such a nice car! I bought mine on Ebay but it was just the shell and the supplier doesn't stock them anymore Spent an arm and a leg buying all the other separate bits for the grilles on ebay as well You can buy the complete bumper of Alibaba.com or I'd recommend getting a Genuine GTI bumper second hand of Ebay or a new one of Volkswagen You'll also need the brackets for the bumper as well since they're different than the ones on the current bumper apart from that it's a direct fit 😁

@@The_journeyy perfect, as soon as the license plate arrives, the first changes start. I bought the directional arrows and the black mirror cap. I'm lucky that the car I have is the same as yours, same color 😆, so every change you make I follow it too 😝 ,

Cheers i bought a polo with full gti kit and interior for my daughter and the full beams didnt work. Hopefuly check tomoro and there will be no bulbs. One side the dlr isnt working either

I love that she's lucky to have you the Polo is a beautiful car. That's probably going to be it when my full beam wasn't working I found out its because the supplier supplied these empty everything is extra on top 🤦‍♂️

It would have been plug and play if you used the correct bulbs... D2S, not H7. The beam pattern and light output cant be good with what you just did.

Surprisingly it is great but thanks for this because in the future I can always try those bulbs how do you know they're correct bulbs for it have you installed them in the headlights or know someone who has? 😊 Thanks for the feedback

@@The_journeyy i've never seen those headlights before, just stumbled upon this video. You can clearly see that the projector base and that bulb holder ring are made for a D2S bulb. How can you not know this? Did they come without any instructions?

In order to know that you'd need to know a good amount about different bulb fittings for headlights your assuming I know what you know or the general guy knows about headlights and different bulb fittings and yes that is correct the headlights came with no instructions
