hi mate, since a while i have the same isse with my 2012 passat. its strange that this is the only video on whole youtube which is showing the solution. tnx a lot for your effort and for this video. I do not dare to solder the chip cause im not so good with soldering. im afraid that i harm the device more :(

Es hatte bei mir 10 Min. funktioniert, aber die Tasten blieben stumm ich konnte keine Einstellung vornehmen und dann war alles wieder weg. Nur CD spieler lief ganz alleine auch da konnte ich nichts verstellen. Danke Grüße aus Heidelberg

Main drawback of the infotainment system is continues play of songs arranged in different folders is possible in it. Hence it is reaniered to sellect folders one after another that is not easy while driving. Hence only practical option is random play, that is bad

Did you get to the bottom of this as my 2012 Tiguan has starting doing the same?

Yes I did, check my latest video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/hc-TqsKI1avShqM.html Chip: PIC16 is the issue after resoldering (and also the few components around that chip (this may not be needed, PIC16 should be it.) the problem is gone.

I have a problem on passat -06, the screen works but all the buttons dont, wich means i cant turn the radio off with pressing the volume wheel/button. This lead to that my battary will be drained becouse radion isnt conected to the ignition. Sulotion to get the buttons to work again? Any clues? Thanks

Have the same problem?it was even reset to german language. Happened after temperature went -20 all night.

Mein Radio macht das Gleich geräusch. Non Stop. Muss Batterie abklemmen damit es aufhört. Hat jemand eine Idee. Muss ich das Radio austauschen??

Mine won't turn on but the fan is running... sometimes it turns on randomly after 30 minutes? Overheating??

I got no clue, they do get way to hot. Especially with the dutch weather now. Could try some cooling paste. Or adhere on those smaller cooling ribs on the chips. Cut some extra vent holes in the body..... stronger fan. Your PSU might be bad due to getting hot non stop, or a broken soldering. Check for cracks around solder pins. The issue in this video returned after a year. Bought an after market as i don't have time. But then the dang camera wont work... Last VW (TIguan) i'll ever buy haha. Money pit :)
