The Volkswagen Tiguan is a very capable SUV. One that offers great road presence, is solid on the highways and is surprisingly fast in the twisties too. But did you know that the Tiguan is a very capable off-roader as well? The 4Motion system intelligently sends power to all four wheels and, when required, to individual wheels. This is especially useful when driving off-road. To showcase just how capable the Tiguan is when the road ends, we partnered with Volkswagen and set up off-road tracks in five cities across India - Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad. Each track had a unique layout and had obstacles that tested various abilities of the Tiguan. There were steep slopes and descends, slush pits, tall side walls, axle-articulation pits and a lot more. All of these would independently test the SUVW’s ability to provide traction in difficult terrains, test the hill hold and descent functions, test the structural rigidity of the chassis and even the skill of the driver behind the ’wheel. This experience really allowed owners and prospective buyers to understand just what the Tiguan can do.
