i prefer a manual to an automatic personally. I think the VWTouran is an excellent family car. Bob Flavin is good at reviewing cars.

How much leg space in the back seats? Are they heated? You mentioned its compfy for the driver. What about the passengers?

Great Review, Bob! I need some advice. I'm buying used and looking at two cars. A 2015 2.0 Tdi 140 7 seater highline Touran, and a 2016 Kadjar. The Kadjar has only 60k kms and gets 26.3km/l while the Touran has 172k kms and gets 19.2km/l. Price is the same for both cars. I got 3 boys - ages 5, 3, and 1. Any recommendation? Thanks!

I drove a Touran for 2 days and I thought the wing mirrors were a bit small. That's pretty much the only negative thing I can say about it...

Thanks for the review Bob. Many ill informed folks say they can/would never drive a mini van. Whether it is a European micro minivan or a bloated US minivan. The comfort, practicality and efficency can't be topped! I challenge any and all......tell me a passenger vehicle that can seat 8, fit a 4'x8' sheet of drywall and be comfy on a 2500mile round trip to Florida on under$200 in gas(petrol)?....The answer.....Minivan! So, be confident in ur manhood and just tell everyone it is the wife's car.

Changed battery yesterday, now Airbag dash light is on, is the only way to get rid of it to pay & get a auto electrical place & pay to scan it etc etc to get rid of it? 07 Model.

I have the VW Sharan. I have had it one year and the only fault I can find with that is you have to alter the clock manually when we change the clocks in spring and autumn.

I love it when Flavin uses a lot of superlatives to describe a car that is more boring than a visit to Switzerland!

Lol, you look miserable as sin in the opening shots to this ;o) Noo, don't buy the van with seats!! ;o) I don't get it, they say that if you have kids, you need one of these, I was a teenager with an older and younger sister and in the 80s, we managed in the back of a 3 door Fiesta!! :o)

Perhaps the most boring car on sale, it screams "yes I have children and they are the only thing that keeps me from ending it all, I have zero imagination and the young virile man I used to be is long gone"
