I think, if Arceus is more like Azathoth, then that makes Giratina one of his offspring - so more Cthulhu than Satan... Albeit a much more benevolent Eldritch god, since Giratina has an important role to play in the universe.

@@draconicfeline6177 Pokémon is all about merging various concepts into one thing. Giratina has a lot of different inspirations but the devil definitely seems to be one of them. Banished for rebelling against its creator, tempted people into its bidding like Volo, has a serpentine body in origin forme, and even has 6 wings (wing spikes in altered)/6 ribs/6 legs (or spikes in origin). It was even willing to tear down reality if it meant challenging Arceus. Its morality and motivations are just different from most interpretations of the devil. It isn't a malevolent being or evil for evil's sake. It's just ill-tempered and rebellious. But as I said, it has many inspirations, so I'm not saying you're wrong either. It's also meant to represent an eldritch deity and antimatter.
