Why are the Vols singing this? Garth went to Oklahoma State, and it's pretty much an anthem there.

@@alisonjohnson2639 Sure, but there are a lot of great songs, and many by Tennesseeans. Dolly, Martina, Chet, Taylor Swift, Timberlake, etc...

It was just helping to build excitement and to help sell more tickets for the concert he was doing at Neyland Stadium a couple months later. Plus who doesn’t sing along when they hear “Friends in Low Places”. He ended up playing in front of 84,846 people at the concert.

@@govols7764 I’d argue that Boone Pickens sounds better than this. Also, it doesn’t change the fact that we’ve been doing this for a long time, idk why Tennessee felt the need to do it too.
