So far no breakdowns...Performance is more than adequate for me....Installation was done by me itself as the steps are similar to that of any automatic washing machine...I never had to contact the service person so far.

Dear Ms Smitha , The water inlet pipe is the one which you can see at time 0:10 of the video whose one end is connected to the tap with a screw adaptor just like in a washing machine. The other end of the water inlet pipe , unlike in a washing machine , is connected to a threaded connector at the bottom of the dishwasher (In case of most front load washing machines , the connection is usually at the rear top side of the washing machine). Its because of this hidden position , the other side of the water inlet pipe is not visible in the video. And we do not have to fill water manually. The water filling , heating , washing , water softening , detergent & rinse aid dispensing, draining and drying are all fully automated. We only want to choose an appropriate program number on the keypad based on our cleaning requirement and that will get our job done🙂

It will resume automatically after a power cut…And additionally it can also auto resume when the water inlet supply gets interrupted as well( i.e. in case if the water in tour tank gets empty mid dishwashing cycle , and then after you turn the pump to the overhead tank on , as soon as the water pressure in the inlet side gets back normal the machine will auto-resume the wash cycle)….I have a samsung washing machine which will auto resume wash cycle on power failure , but requires manual resuming after the water supply supply gets interrupted (4E error will be displayed on the samsung)….

I still think it is the best in the market....Never has disappointed me in its performance....Just you need to practice how to put exact amount of detergent in the detergent compartment... 99% of time you can save water and detergent powder using the eco mode....If you plan to purchase detergent tablets/pods , buy a small packet first. Loading too much detergent for pre rinsed utensils can leave residue(Usually only a teaspoon detergent or less only is required for cleaning in eco mode for a full load of prerinsed utensils)....Once you practice how much detergent to use for each load , and to organise your load without blocking the spray arms everything else will be taken care of by this dishwasher(Also dont expect the quick cycles to do the job perfectly)....Its actually not TATA/Voltas....It is 100% Beko and made in Turkey....Since it is made in Europe in accordance with European Manufacturing Standards and Distributed by Tata , it is better than even its German Counterparts in its performance , space and features. Just search European online shops for this model and you can see highly positive reviews and even this model is popular in German online stores...Just go ahead with your purchase...This is the best dishwasher in Indian Market😉

This model have 'steam gloss' mode which is a steam based drying/sanitization mode which works fine....And yes , if you run a full cycle with drying (eg ECO mode) the vessels are almost completely dry (99% dry). Just you need to keep all utensils properly. Also you need to sort out your dishes and separate the ones that are not getting properly cleaned in your dishwasher. Reserve those large plates with extremely wide edges to handwashing as they will not even fit properly in the dishwasher. Also invest in some dishwasher compliant utensils after some time from the purchase. The dishwasher resumes from powercut without any hitch. A great feature this one has is that when the tank runs empty , the system will stop and show the alarm code on the LCD , but as soon as we turn on the pump , and water reaches the tap , the dishwasher will AUTO RESUME its operation without any further Alarms or notifications. This is a feature that I miss in my samsung washing machine , which require me to manually resume the cycle after an alarm.

You will have to use salt for the first time. If you are using soft water , like a muncipality water supply , then you wont have to fill the salt chamber often. The salt inside the salt reservoir wont get consumed. It will just act like an additional filter for say removing remaining minerals from the water. The water in my home is very soft but still have a tiny amount of mineral content. Therefore , I think I will not have to refill the salt for atleast 5 years. My cousin in Banglore said he refills his salt chamber every 3 to 4 months as he have hard water in his area. So in your case , you wont have to refill the salt chamber for a long long time , until the machine prompts you with an 'S' indication🙂@@cute_cupcake9485

1 piece of test strip is provided with the machine. In case of doubt , you can send a 1 Litre sample to a water testing lab to double check the results. The hardness value is an important parameter for the proper operation of your dishwasher. You will also have to input the corresponding softener setting parameter in the dishwasher control panel so that the internal softener of the dishwasher works effectively.

​@@varunn.a.5764 that is so tight. Is there any way to get more from them. This particular strip they have is very user friendly. The test strips available on amazon rely on minute colour shade differences and are as good as useless.

Those moving plastic parts are the spray arms , which are user replaceable(Except the aqua intense spray arm). I never had an issue with the hardware so far...But I think an Email / call to the customer care of voltas beko will solve your issue. But local service persons may not be able to economically repair and arrange parts for this machine. In fact , dishwashers have very low number of wearing parts inside them and mostly the inlet valve is probably the most common part to fail. The electronics are also suspected of premature failure if you don't have proper surge protection installed in your building. Also I don't know how expensive are their spare parts and repair service. I ll update in case of any breakdowns.

@@varunn.a.5764 the one issue I've heard people complain about is the heating element and circulation pump are one unit in case of Bosch. Meaning if the heater goes you have to replace that part which works out more expensive than if both were separate. Not sure if this Beko also has a two in one part like that but it's something to keep in mind

Dear Sreelakshmi , Nice to hear about your plan to purchase a dishwasher. I also had to experience the same dilemma during my initial days , researching about the dishwashers available in our market. Based on my extended research , I came to the conclusion that Voltas Beko dishwasher with its Full Stainless Steel Interior, Solid Build Quality , useful features , thoughtfully designed wash cycles and long track record In Europe (Where the equivalent model Number is DFN28R22) , can easily trump other brands in our market hands down. In case of Bosch/Siemens , the place settings are low and most lack full stainless steel interior. The price of Bosch models have also increased significantly post Covid Lockdown. In case of LG , the prices are fairly high and I think in terms of features , both this model and the LG DFB424FP are comparable. The only issue with the LG is that it do not have a proper Power Off Resume feature which can be a deal breaker for most of the Indian customers since our power supply system is susceptible to power cuts every now and then. For true Steam from LG , we have the Steam Gloss in Voltas Beko. For the Quad Wash , we have the Aqua Intense. This model don't have the IOT / Wifi connectivity , nor does it comes with the Auto Door Open Feature or Aqua Stop. But still , since the cost of ownership for the DF14S2 is lower , and since the absence of these features wont affect the everyday operation and utility of the dishwasher, you can very easily forget them. Also the LG dishwasher is marketed with an inverter direct drive motor with 10 year warranty , where the Voltas Beko provides 12 year warranty on its inverter motor. Also the 3rd rack cutlery drawer marketed in some dishwasher models ,I think wont be useful of a feature in Indian conditions and I never felt the need of one anyway as there is more than enough space to put your cutlery and Thawas in this dishwasher in the form of foldable plastic holders and a removable cutlery basket. Don't be fooled by the brand names. If you are planning to buy a dishwasher , Voltas Beko is definitely the best brand in the Indian Market . If you have ever thought of Voltas dishwasher as something inferior to Bosch / LG , its time to change your perspective all together. The truth is that no other dishwashers in the price bracket of about 60K don't stand a chance against this 37.5K Voltas Beko dishwasher in terms of cleaning performance due to the Aqua-Intense Technology. If you need maximum cleaning performance , just choose Intense mode and that will get your job done😊.

Better use a table top model (8 place setting models) if you are living in a rented house as they are easy to install and carry around due to more manageable weight. The disadvantages are lower place settings and lack of aqua intense spray arm, Which are rather less important most of the time for a small family. They are also half the price of this model and offers similar cleaning performance for everyday dish washing operations.

Ranges from 37490(Flipkart with offers on SBI card) to 41850(Amazon) Rupees. Also check the price with the local Voltas-Beko dealer as well before purchase. Good price is also available in Croma.

Yes , we use the rinse aid and salt along with the tablet. But both rinse aid dispensing and salt regeneration settings are set on the lowest possible setting as our water is very soft. Now we are mostly using the powder detergent as it is cheaper and more suitable for locations with soft water🙂

Absoloutely....MANDATORY earthing is required because it has a heater and steam generator inside.

@@karna6651 You better contact your electrician for the earthing. The water inlet connection is similar to most automatic washing machines in the market and do not use any special adapters. The outlet of the machine has a pump and is not gravity drained and therefore require the outlet pipe to be at least half a meter above the floor level for proper operation(These details are mentioned in the user manual).

Absolutely. I have installed it far away from our sink. Modern dishwashers don’t need the dishes to be soaked in a sink or even per rinsed under a tap. But still if your load is low , you should pre rinse all the dirty dishes using the 15 minute pre rinse mode of the dishwasher to prevent bad smell from accumulating inside the dishwasher. Say you will only have a full load by night time , then after lunch load all the lunch time plates and cookware WITHOUT ANY PRE SOAKING OR PRE RINSING in to the dishwasher , close the machine and run the 15 minutes pre wash cycle. Then in the night time before going to bed , just load all the dinner utensils and once all the dishes of the day are loaded , run a full wash cycle with detergent. This way , there is no need a sink to wash your dishes. Only the non dishwasher safe utensils need to be washed in a sink. I hope your doubt is cleared😊
