Mmmmm, yes - Yellow and White is so pretty ... but perfectly cut flawless Columbian Emeralds are unbeatable, in my own opinion. Yellow Diamonds just look washed out on me - at the risk of sounding like an ungrateful spoiled brat, I was so very disappointed...they looked SO gorgeous in their display case, but not on me. But Sapphires, Rubies or Emeralds or even a spectacular London Blue Topaz set in a mess of the whitest Diamonds and White Gold or Platinum ... for me personally - they look fabulous! I really think White Diamonds look best when used to highlight a particularly special coloured stone, for example, as a halo. So I guess it comes down to what suits the person who is to wear it, and then you must take their own personal taste into it too. But so often these considerations are forgotten when a jewel is purchased as a gift, despite the vast generosity of the giver. It's far more important to consider suitability, I think, than the cost (or value) of the gifted jewel because there's not much point if it doesn't suit the recipient.

Yes, I have ALWAYS been enchanted with the Harry Winston style and when I saw Charles Winston and his designs, I knew I had found just what I wanted in my price range. From time to time, he does specialty, limited pieces, designed like the exquisite necklaces like H Winston does. Now with the gorgeous Lab Grown diamonds coming into the market, I'm just waiting to see if he starts moving some of his designs in that direction. Oh, I can just imagine the beautiful things he would create. It is an amazing time we are living in!

Mpompadour true! I totally agree..thinking about the lab grown diamond, i did make my study about it. Most of it out put are the yellow diamonds..i have seen videos from Eastern Europe that they mass producing it in large volumes. And i saw videos from china as well. If there would be a mass production the prices of this Magnificent jewel would go down. What is your thoughts about this?

@@AndrewPidor I knew once this technology was brought to the public that it would revolutionize the diamond industry. I'm sure there are labs around the world still perfecting the process as they will eventually get the yellow look removed. I watched a jewelry show on that network I mentioned, JTV, and they now have the lab grown diamonds. I did not see ONE that had a yellow look to them. They were pure white and absolutely gorgeous! They are graded just like mined diamonds. They ARE diamonds as you well know from your study. I am SO excited to be able to watch this new diamond technology. People ARE buying theses stones and bigger and better lab grown diamonds will be coming very soon, I'm sure. Even the diamond cartel De Beers are now selling lab grown diamonds under the name Lightbox. They sell 1/4 carat for $200 US dollars, a 1/2 carat for $400, a 3/4 for $600 and a 1 carat for $800. It really surprised me that De Beers would get in on the lab grown diamonds! I'm looking forward to diamond prices going down because this new technology will afford the public an alternative to mined diamonds.

@@Mpompadour aha i hear yah!, I would love the cartels in the diamond market go down. Diamond found in Africa has so many consequences. And so many lives were taken, had you seen the movie Blood Diamond by Leonardo? I love that film, that alone will show what is the real deal about the diamond found in Africa. If lab-grown diamond would be available so many lives will be spare.

That is only from The House of Graff, try to water your eyes the Harry Winston Collection, Dior, cartier, these jewel are exquisite, that for us mare mortals is nothing but a dream.😅

My mom was very straight forward she ask me what is your second choice I loved books too and say so .she told me for Jewelry you mast have dead money .means you must have enough if few years you do not make money you could live .and that was not my condition ,I became Librarian , after 1 year I really dislike it .Is dusty Dingy heavy job .reading has nothing to do working in library for peanut.
