I cheered, I applauded, I laughed and I cried because for two minutes and nine seconds, this 40 year old man who just noticed some gray hair was transformed in to his 8 year old self. You cannot put a price tag on that kind of nostalgia. Thank you.

1000% Without that driving orchestral music it just isn't the same. The electric guitar coupled with the trumpets made voltron alive! It's like procession music of royalty or a king. You know they are here! That was the feeling the original gave. Once he was combined, it was surreal and powerful. The new one just doesn't have the same sense of presence.

I discovered voltron with some beautiful art that I had seen on Pinterest, and after finding out more of what it was, I fell in love with the show, and I never thought I'd be so attached to something I would have to say bye to. How lucky am I to have had something that makes saying goodbye so hard. Thank you all for giving me something worthwhile. It been an honor flying with you all.

Look I know it's different from the original series especially since during most of the first season Keith didn't pilot the Black Lion till he asked it to let him in the cockpit to help Shiro and in this version they put the pilots in the lions based on the color of they're flight suits accept for Pidge and Hunk who were still the pilots of the Green and Yellow Lions as Lance was now the pilot of the Blue Lion,Keith was the pilot of the Red Lion and Shiro was the pilot of the Black Lion and I also know they change to pilot the lions that they piloted in the 80's series but like I said in my comment at least we got to see how the 4 lions combined with the Black Lion at the joints since that was something that was never shown in the original series EVER.

If anyone should do a live action Voltron movie it should be one of the guys who directed the Monsterverse films or the guys who directed all the live action Marvel Universe films and I agree it shouldn't be Michael Bay or J.J. Abrams either.

Unlike Pidge and Hunk who are still the pilots of the Green and Yellow Lions the only changes they made to this series was Keith Lance and Sven/Shiro as they were put inside the lions based on the color of they're flight suits were Keith now pilots the Red Lion Lance Now pilots the Blue Lion and Sven/Shiro now pilots the Black Lion and when I saw this it took me a while to accept it as I grew up watching the original Voltron back in the 80's and I Liked it when Keith was the Black Lion's Pilot and I was overjoyed to see him in the pilots seat in this version even though it was only because he asked the Black Lion to let him in in order to help Shiro but it was still awesome seeing Keith at the controls of the Black Lion again.

only one piece missing... there has to be the part where they are in full flight running at high speed viewed from the side of the lion's face before they jump up into the sky to form Voltron. Remember they used first try to fight the baddies as single lions and would get a good whipping. Then they would form Voltron as the monster looked on confused...before bringing it! Then ending it all with the big sword!

When I first started watching this series one thing always bugged me during the first episode and that is how the heck the Blue Lion ended up on Earth and one thing that was hilarious in that episode was the whole team in the Blue Lion's cockpit with Lance at the controls and doing poorly piloting it as Keith said 'You are the Worst Pilot Ever' as the Blue Lion was flying all over the place and was seen by 2 Garrison officers with one of them commenting 'It looks like a big metal cat sir' before the Blue Lion shot off into space like a missile and away from Earth towards the outer solar system within a matter of seconds.

I'm only fourteen but I watched the original Voltron as a kid. I loved the Voltron transformation sequence but I like Legendary Defender's animation sequence better than the original. I needed the audio though!

You know it's funny that whenever they finish the transformation sequence into Voltron I can't get over that last sound effect as it is the same sound effect used when the Martian war machines are firing they're weapons and if anyone is wondering what I mean by that it's the same sound effects from the 1953 sci-fi film The War of the Worlds.

Ever since I saw this version of Voltron I always wondered will there be another reboot of the series of this legendary Robot and it's pilots because I have seen almost every one from the 80's version to the computer generated version called Voltron the 3rd Demension to this one and I only saw parts of the series prior to this one where they form Voltron in different configurations with the lions like where they form Voltron with the Yellow Lion taking the place and position of the Black Lion and Vice Versa now that was interesting to say the least.

One scene I found real hilarious from this incarnation of the series was when Pidge revealed he was a she and the look on everyone's faces including Lance's was priceless all accept for Allura and Coran who both had they're suspicions and that Allura was happy that Pidge came forward and being honest with herself including Shiro and Keith.

If I had to guess the reason the lions look different now then they did back in the 80's is when they did this new incarnation was to introduce a classic cartoon series to a new generation and some people have to remember this wasn't the first remake they did of Voltron if anyone remembers the series prior to this where they could form Voltron with different configurations where in that version the Black Lion doesn't just form the head and body of Voltron but it can switch places with the other lions like where I saw a picture of it where the Yellow Lion formed the head and body of Voltron and the Black Lion formed the Left leg but both still retained they're colors now that was interesting.

Just finished binge-watching Season 1 and 2 of Legendary Defender. I had been reluctant at first because the previous two Voltron series were...well, mediocre at best, to put it gently. And while there is a lot that I really do like (Princess Allura taking a series level in badass, for example), the music (particularly that used while getting everyone to their lions) really is subpar. Thank you for putting in the classic music.

This is a masterpiece, A wonderful mix of the nostalgic audio of the original Voltron theme and voiceover work with the new and incredible computer animation technology. I wish it could have been done for the whole series. P.S. I STILL WANNA SEE A LIVE ACTION TRUE TO ORIGINAL MAKE MOVIE OF THIS. AND THUNDERCATS!!!

At first with the new look and especially the changes between Keith as the Red Lion and Lance as the Blue Lion and without Princess Allura piloting the Blue Lion "WTF"...Then they added a new Character Shiro as Leader and pilot of the Black Lion... I couldn't Phantom the thought of ever seeing such a change in a iconic cartoon classic that I put my heart and soul into watching and being a Voltron club fan member for years... So seeing these changes made me feel they were taking away the original version and putting in some false element of This Voltron series?! But after watching a couple of episodes of this version of Voltron and especially Seeing this new Character Shiro as Leader of The Voltron force... This is MY OPINION??? I THINK SHIRO AS LEADER AND PILOT OF BLACK LION??!! I THINK SHIRO SHOULD REMAIN AS LEADER AND PILOT OF THE BLACK LION👍☺️... AND THIS KEITH SHOULD REMAIN AS PILOT OF THE RED LION... LANCE REMAIN AS PILOT OF BLUE LION AND PRINCESS ALLURA STAYS AS ADVISOR WITH CORAN... Well that's my thoughts💡and theory on This version of Voltron... Coming from a Voltron fan club member and a die hard fan from the original 80s version☺️👍...

Voltes V - Let's Volt In is still the best anime. It was made in 1977 way back before Voltron. It was the pattern of Voltron.

I would like to correct a few things about Voltron, First his original name from Japan was GO LION, However when he was brought to the us he was named Voltron. Second, it's very common for people to Display Voltron toys with the Green lion on the right arm Red lion on the left and Yellow lion on the Right leg and Blue lion on the left leg. This is Wrong and it did Appear a few times that way in the 80s Animated cartoon but it was just an Animation flaw. And thirdly Voltron in the cartoon had lotsof white for example, his thighs elbows,and face. He was supposed to look metalic but just like the toys are with Chrome lions legs chrome or metalic faces and elbows. The reason why Voltron was painted white is because there wasn't any metalic paint for animating back in the 80s. His sword, Spear, and star cutter was also white again, Because there was no metalic paint for Animators to usei n the 80s. And for the Record, Voltron Came way before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

As a kid I loved the vehicles… but then when those lions came out it was a GAME CHANGER😅… but not I love doing Stop Motion with BOTH sets 🎬📸🎞️ and now finding myself loving them EQUALLY
