I just paid my respects today at his grave. See ya in heaven, my friend.

The first time I saw him sing this, I cried. To see such anguish and loss in his face brings the knowledge to the viewer of all the misplaced love he spent a lifetime trying to recapture. It is written on the lines of his face, his simple movement through the crowd, and the tremble in his voice. I am now and will always be in awe of this man until the day I die. Go with God, my friend.

What a beautiful and touching scene from the movie “Lucky”. He did this song in one take according to the producers of the movie. I just watched it last night and was captivated by his performance, a beautiful end to an extraordinary career in film.

I am at a place in my life, and I think we all have to be at a place in our lives, where we accept things as real and impacting to our soul based on Human Experience. This movie was a low-budget, gift to the characters and their ability to pull it off. But it impacted me my father was dying. This song truly impacted me because it sums up compassion in your soul

At 1.14, I was there on the Set and let me tell everyone that Mr. Dean Stanton was a completely great man to work with and he took care of everyone on Set. When I moved across country from California to East Coast, the first weekend here…there was the film Lucky that I worked on 6 years ago.

Stanton (depending on the film) can be the coldest or the warmest man on the planet. And when you watch a Harry Dean Stanton film, you forget who you are watching and are transported to the character. He IS the character !!!

Saw this movie for the first time a couple of months ago and have watched it probably 10 times since. It has quickly become of my favorite films of all time. HDS was perfect in this role, and that role was perfectly tailored for him. You can't ask for a better farewell to the screen for this legendary actor. Known through his career was a great supporting actor, he nailed the lead here. Fade to black.

Actors in Hollywood who valued the craft of acting over the celebrity of stardom, considered HDS the best actor they ever worked with. It reflects poorly on Hollywood that this revered actor, a master of his craft as shown in hundreds of supporting roles, and two masterful leading roles, never received a major award.

Harry Dean Stanton was one of those very rear people that imprinted himself in your mind by saying or going very little very little. he appeared to have a very deep sadness about him but he was probably the happiest person on Gods green earth, he probably had most of the answers to life. Harry was the kind of person if you lived alongside him for a thousand years you still would know very little about him, most of what you knew about Harry Dean Stanton you had made up in your mind, you never got this information from Harry himself. He was the original Quiet Man and way before John Wayne played this part in an Irish film

We parted some time ago but my moment to lose has come you were very right I listen to my heart and I'm dying for going back And going back, going back, going back to your arms once more I'll get to your whereabouts I know how to lose, I know how to lose I want to go back, go back go back We parted some time ago but my moment to lose has come you were very right I listen to my heart and I'm dying for going back And going back, going back, going back to your arms once more I'll get to your whereabouts I know how to lose, I know how to lose I want to go back, go back go back
