Күн бұрынDIY Engine Oil Change and Air/Fuel Filter Replacement on a V40 2.0 D4204T14. This procedure is applicable to all VEA D2 to D5 variants across Volvo models. Note: Engine oil capacity may vary, so it's recommended to consult your owner's manual for accuracy.
Part numbers specific to V40s:
- Oil filter - 32140029
- Fuel filter - 31669472, 31478692
- Air filter - 31368022
- Oil plug - 986833

Thanks, I need to do all these on a V70 D4 VEA - oil filter looks like a bigger faff (and even messier!) than on my old 2002 V40, likewise the fuel filter is also in a weird location making it harder to access (the V40 also had a handpump to re-prime the pipes) Edit: you had me worried for a moment as the new filter I have is a cartridge type one, much like the oil filter - seems there are some variances in the D4s - it is still located somewhere at the back between the axle however - according to VIDA, just to make it more challenging 😬

When changing fuel filter, do i need a computer to reset error message?

Hello. Can the volvo bleed the air self out when you change the fuel filter? I did this be just start the car for 3-4 times. Since i do not have vida would love to hear if this is ok to do so?

It will do. Different practice after fuel filter change is to start the engine and hold revs at about 2000rpm for a few seconds. Given this step is not included in the maintenance instructions, It's probably not critical if you skip it.
