I bought a C70II 2011,and I absolutely love it, so rare and so beautiful, it looks great with the roof down or up, quite a unique trick to achieve, it handles very well for a convertible, very rapid and well planted on the road, more of a cruiser I would say, turns heads and makes me feel special because you can almost guarantee you won't see another one on the roads when out and about, plus the C70 will be a classic in the years to come, no way will I sell this car cos I love it to bits.

i love mine! there is nothing else that looks like it, not too common, no danger of seeing yourself at a stop light! 2013 c70.

We love our C70. Stunning and beautiful and will become a collectors car in the future. Ours is a very beautiful 2015 model. South Africa.

Love mine too. A pain in the arse with constant repairs but Iv decided to keep mine till it doesn't make sense anymore. Iv made mine just a summer car, park it in winter and drive my other cars. Ps. My rear top mount strut just broke again 😭

@@maoinc13 🤣🤣make sure you always budget for something wrong on your monthly wage. Will be doing a video on mine soon, upgrading a few bits. Hopefully they'll be worth it

I've had 5 Volvo and this one has been the worst by far for maintenance and repairs. One issue overlooked is with the 17" wheel option, we've cracked or severely bent 4 wheels from minor potholes. The car is very low so seeing the potholes becomes a challenge. As far as maintenance, in the last three years, at 101,000miles, we've gone through two batteries, a radiator, multiple coolant hoses, wheel hubs (bearings), intermittent AC problems, luggage cover struts in the trunk, inside door handle mechanism breaking, failed engine mounts, and now a failed hydraulic roof motor/pump. The regular maintenance has been done on schedule, including T-belt, plugs, oil, filters, etc. Sure miss my '95 855T. The C70 would be a nice perfect weather top-down weekend car, that's about it. Still love Volvo but our '08 V70 3.2 will be the last of the "new."

What do you think of the C70 2009 2.5 litre auto? Are these reliable in terms of engine, transmission and gear box?

I installed the after market screen upgrade a few years ago and it is excellent! Brings the C70 up to date with Bluetooth, Netflix, KZfaq, and most importantly Apple CarPlay and Android Auto! Highly recommend this upgrade!

I have a 2011 white c70.. had it for about 2-3yrd now..for almost a yr my battery kept dying after 3 days if u didn’t drive it.. it wasn’t my crazy so I did what I’ve seen what was happening to a lot of ppl with this car.. I disconnected the sirus signal.. and not my A/C has been giving me an issue.. it starts off cold and after 30mins it get warm.. I took it to get check and they couldn’t find a leak.. and with all this.. I STILL WONT GET RID OF IT... I love the car. Once I get somethings done to it.. it will be up and running again.. I actually been driving it the last pass week

I've secured an 08 D5 SE LUX that I'm getting next week. In its sale notes its just had driveshaft work done. I recognize that road at the end , its DenshawOutlane on the W.Yorks border ?

those are not c70 standard wheels. personally I like the mirzam and morpheus 18 in wheels for this model

I have a c70 from 08 and D5.. I love the car.. But every 2 thousand km I have to repair something new.. the D5 is a power-full engine and can give me smile, but too loud in the interior. I only keep it because I love it, but it is not good as a reliable car ..

what sort of problem ? i have use 2004 v50 to 240.000km without serious issue.

@@stitchthekelpie do not compare a cabriolet with a normal car. Most issues I had was the vibration of the hard top. The sealing needs to be changed every time. Other problem is that the volvo's parts are not as cheap as other cars. And my problem was buying it from a person that wasn't having too much care of it (maintaince) ... for example that it was running with bruned oil at minimun like over 30thds km.. Restoring a broken car is expensive, but this way it becames like a new car and I enjoy it a lot :D

it should named C30 second generation because first generation was as long as E class of Mercedes but second generation is compact sized and quality also was rubbish as they share same platform with Ford Focus and Mazda 3. I'm Volvo fun, I'm still keeping my fully factory condition 2001 C70 T5 BSR tuned to 300 HP with only 97,000 km. I also have new 2020 S60 B5, C70 T5 is more luxurious and comfortable to drive and of course much more performance, it's shame of Volvo even after 25 years it gives less performance with same engine code (T5).
