@@user-sf7kl9uh7kYeah, The first Volvo car to ever properly implement the SPOC(Severe partial overlap collision, aka. Small overlap) vehicle structure was the Volvo 850. IIHS Later Straight up transferred that Volvo's own test method to IIHS Small overlap test, with the same 25% at 40mph(Gen 3 SPOC Method). Because according to Volvo's statistics in Sweden, The SPOC(20~40% overlap) Scenario accounted for around 50% of all accident fatalities in a frontal collision. Edit : Not to mention the Side Impact Protection System!
