Do you 'save' these beautiful straight pines for lumber ? Here where I live in waaaaayyyyy eastern Canada,...we never gets trees this tall and straight, they would be worth a buck or two. Nice video(s).

Hey did they repaint that 160 for you? Or just give it a nice detail job to bring out that shine in the old paint???
@letsdig1810 жыл бұрын
nothing has been done to it yet, scratches just don't show up on the camera
@Lanninglongarmmowing10 жыл бұрын
I'm just curious, why don't you guys just use a ripper to dig out trees? Is it too hard to take the bucket off and the ripper on? Don't they make a ripper for your machine? Great video by the way!
@letsdig1810 жыл бұрын
because it take forever to load a truck with a ripper only grabbing 18" of brush VS a 48" bucket full
@Lanninglongarmmowing10 жыл бұрын

what is the best way to bury stumps and dabre if you have to?
@letsdig1810 жыл бұрын
bury it in layers of dirt so it wont settle so bad, layer of stumper then couple feet of dirt, repeat... never plan to build on the spot!

Does that excavator operate differently than a cat or is it about the same?

Nice video. Which machine is bigger? 160 or 210. 160 looks to be built pretty stout
@satricon10 жыл бұрын
210 is bigger! increasing numbers mean bigger in size with volvo's.
@Grumpy_old_Boot10 жыл бұрын
Necros1s As I understand it, the slightly older 210 and the new 160c has almost the same engine power, but the 210 had better reach and bigger counterweight, so it can handle bigger buckets. Probably why it's often used for dredging, that stuff is heavy. I could be wrong offcourse, I'm just a desktop worker. XD
