The traffic sign recognition issue has been there all along - it's not a 1.3.1 update issue - and apparently it also affects other Volvo models too running AAOS

Hi there just got my EX30 and the car is not connecting to Network on the App it states no internet to car not activated and on next screen when I click create account it fails. Volvo have no idea can anyone help

I got my car on the 15. May, including 1.3.1 and I don’t have any of these issues. Only thing I have noticed, was that one specific radio station, changed to another, after around half a minute. Somehow, the problem is not there anymore. Everything works really well, so I am puzzled about all these issues, other owners seems to be having.

Still awaiting the US release, and was becoming impatient. After this video my patience has been renewed. I’ll keep waiting and hopefully they’ll have fixed most of these bugs.

Is anyone able to use Waze? I set my destination when parked and when I drive, there's a message on the screen that it cannot be used whilst driving lol. Version 1.4 update

I’ve had the same issue with the alarm going off randomly. In my case, it looks like this problem happens when the wireless key tag is kept within a certain range of the car. The issue stopped once I changed the place where I store my keys inside the house (far away from the car). I also have the problem where the autopilot configuration is lost after turning the car off. This happens with the lane-changing assistant and the distance to the car in front.

Hi this is Eduardo from Mexico, I just received my ex30 plus with 1.3.1 versions, the problem that I have is with Volvo app, I have 2 users my wife and me, I just see the car but we can’t unlock doors, turn on lights, etc, have ever hear this problem?

Had my EX30 a week and a half it’s going in tomorrow for a second time to sort connectivity issues ie voice control of internet phone not connecting and it’s so new I am probably missing other issues I haven’t discovered yet 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

How about apple car play that is not available yet? Any light on this one?

I've ordered my EX30 company car Hopefully by the time it arrives Volvo will have addressed all of these issues 🧐

I still did not get 1.3.1 over the air and still using 1.2.1. No idea when I will get the update automatically.

After update 1.3.1 showing battery at 0% but with a range of 216.8miles ! It should show 80%

I ordered the Volvo EX30 Single motor, Extended range in July 2023, because of the Volvo brand, the good design and several overly enthusiastic product presentations. I canceled the contract after two test drives this year because the Volvo brand claims to be Premium but It’s not any more. In my opinion the whole thing is not ready, not reliable, not stable, a constant on and off. Although the car is in the market for some time now there are still too many flaws. I fear some of them are permanent at least for the first batch of cars. It is still 54 T€ for the Ultra trim of this car. Here’s a list of problems and issues from my point of view: • The car drives ok, but it is not above average in any other regard than the 200KW electric motor, that is certainly overpowered and not required. A lower power consumption (it is mostly above 20kWh/100km) would have been appreciated instead. • The Noise level on the highway is not Premium. The nice glass roof of the Ultra-Trim seems to have a negative effect. • Radio (DAB+) is really bad and braking is shutting it down. • No Apple Car Play and no Android Auto although at least the first was promised. • Smartphone Bluetooth connection not stable. • The door opening system is unreliable - you never know if the car opens or closes as you expect. • Unstable internet connectivity in the car although 4G/5G is available. • The Assistant systems are not ready - traffic sign recognition and driver alert are crap, lane assist and emergency braking systems can be dangerous because of massive impact on the steering and braking. • Inside material quality is also not Premium and the seats can get uncomfortable, sweaty in summer. • With the central display Volvo is following Tesla. But it is smaller and has a vertical orientation. Not too bad but compared to Tesla it is even more overloaded and has a non-logical, fragmented menu structure. No HUD and no display in front of the driver forces to look to the middle. As a consequence the car is constantly beeping and displaying small messages on the screen. At least nerve wracking, if not plain dangerously distracting.

Please next time try to use a better quality mic , it becomes really annoying the sound of your voice.

Wow a brand new car plagued with problems. And they expect you to pay the moon for this. 20K is fair.
