Cold start after 2 month

I had a F88 & parked in a yard with another 34 F88s, Monday mornings in winter were always a bit foggy. (slight understatement)

Sheesh, let it idle! Hear the belts protesting. Great way to reduce the life of an engine!

One thing I do not do to my F 88,is rev the nuts off of it when it is cold.

+dany bogerd Exactly the old Volvo's wont break. I tried to break one but i failed. My boss wanted to kill that old thing so he picked me to do it. Loads of smoke but it didnt break. And gues what its restored and still going strong. I put some Petrol into the diesel to clean the engine it runs like a dream :)

This way does not look cold start.V such low temperatures is good for a few minutes to not increase the engine speed rapidly. Volvo-OK.

Engine oil , coolant etc all at -25 !!!! Respect it, dont kill it!!!!!!

Soğuk motora öyle gaz verilmez 1000 devirde 10 dk çalışır ..sonra gaz ver yürü . Volvo soğuk ülke kamyonudur. .ama usulüne göre kullan

Compare that to cold starts of Macks and Peterbilts you can see on youtube... Volvo is so much better. Or perhaps it's the Finnish drivers? ;)

Macks and Peterbilts have 12V system, Volvo has 24V system
